Keeping GCG Put Forward Amid the Great Pressure of a Pandemic, AP II Wins the Title as the Most Trusted Company for Three Years in a Row

AP II's Corporate Governance Perception Index (CGPI) score reached 86.52

Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura II, the manager of 20 airports in Indonesia, again won the title as the Most Trusted Company or Most Trusted Companies in the Indonesia Most Trusted Companies 2022 event.

The highest title of Most Trusted Companies was given after The Indonesian Institute for Corporate Governance (IICG) together with SWA set the AP II Corporate Governance Perception Index (CGPI) score of 86.52 for the 2021 fiscal year assessment.

The CGPI score itself is determined based on research to measure the implementation of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) or good corporate governance in companies. The CGPI assessment includes governance structures, governance processes and governance outcomes.

Previously, AP II also won the Most Trusted Companies title in 2019 with a CGPI score of 86.01 and in 2020 with a CGPI score of 86.37.

President Director of AP II Muhammad Awaluddin said that strengthening the implementation of GCG is the focus of AP II every year.

"Strengthening the implementation of GCG is an obligation for every company, including AP II. In the last three years, AP II has always won the title of Most Trusted Companies in Indonesia Most Trusted Companies 2022, with a score index that has consistently increased so that in 2022 it can achieve a CGPI score of 86.37."

"AP II has a vision of On Becoming Airport Enterprise Leader in the Region in 2024. To become the market leader for airport operators in ASEAN, of course AP II must really have a strong foundation as a healthy organization, and one of them is AP II must apply GCG principles. well," said Muhammad Awaluddin.

Furthermore, Muhammad Awaluddin said the Most Trusted Companies 2022 award proved that AP II could continue to implement GCG well even though it was under pressure from the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Throughout 2021, AP II is making various efforts to rise from the impact of the pandemic which has posed the toughest challenges of all time for the world of aviation and tourism. CGPI's independent assessment from a stakeholder perspective indicates that AP II has maintained the company's performance in the midst of a pandemic while still prioritizing GCG principles," explained Muhammad Awaluddin.

AP II Director of Human Capital Ajar Setiadi said the award he received was an encouragement for human resources (HR) at AP II to always give the best.
"The Most Trusted Companies award won by AP II is an encouragement to always improve the application of good corporate governance in maintaining and strengthening air transportation connectivity in Indonesia," said Ajar Setiadi.

Ajar Setiadi said that the strong implementation of CGG by AP II HR would also make the company more competitive in regional and global competition.

Through the CGPI scoring carried out, AP II can set indicators or quality standards for GGC implementation that it wants to achieve in the future so that it can always implement ethical business practices and maintain investor and public trust in the company.
