Period 11 - 15 November 2022, Three AP II Airports Have Served 29 State Flights Related to the G20 Summit

A total of 17 units of state aircraft are staying at three AP II airports as of 15 November

Jakarta - State flight operations related to the holding of the G20 Summit are running smoothly at PT Angkasa Pura II's three airports, namely Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Banten), Halim Perdanakusuma Airport (DKI Jakarta) and Banyuwangi Airport (East Java).

The three airports will serve state flights related to the G20 Summit starting November 11, 2022.

AP II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin said the state flight operations fulfilled all the established procedures.

“The administrative and technical processes have been fulfilled, including the necessary permits. State flights in the context of the G20 Summit are running smoothly at AP II airports," said Muhammad Awaluddin.

Furthermore, Muhammad Awaluddin said AP II was on standby to serve state flights until November 18, 2022.

"The G20 Summit takes place November 15-16 2022 in Bali, and three AP II airports are on standby to serve state aircraft departures until November 18 2022. We make sure everything runs smoothly," said Muhammad Awaluddin.

AP II Director of Operation Muhamad Wasid said that in the period November 11-15 2022, there were a total of 29 state flights related to the G20 Summit at three AP II airports, consisting of 23 arrival flights and 6 departure flights.

"At Soekarno-Hatta Airport on 11-15 November 2022 there are 10 arrival flights and 2 departure flights. While at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport there are 7 arrival flights and 1 departure flight, and at Banyuwangi Airport there are 6 arrival flights and 3 departure flights.

"Soekarno-Hatta Airport serves state flights of Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Cambodia. Meanwhile, Halim Perdanakusuma Airport serves state flights from South Korea and the United States. And, Banyuwangi Airport serves Indonesian and Chinese state flights," said Muhamad Wasid.

As of 15 November 2022, there were 17 aircraft staying overnight (Remain Over Night/RON), namely 8 aircraft staying at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, then 6 units staying at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, and 3 units staying at Banyuwangi Airport.

Banyuwangi Airport is also a base for weather modification aircraft and Indonesian Air Force Hercules aircraft to support the G20 Summit activities.

Muhamad Wasid said that AP II has set up integrated service posts at the three airports to ensure state flights related to the G20 Summit run smoothly.

Soekarno-Hatta Airport Executive General Manager Dwi Ananda said the G20 post at Soekarno-Hatta Airport was placed directly in the VIP Terminal in the Terminal 3 area.

"The command post ensures that flight operations run smoothly. Parking stands for state-owned aircraft are also placed on the apron of Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport," explained Dwi Ananda.
