Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura II as the operator of 20 airports in Indonesia encourages the use and development of electric vehicles in the country.

In line with this, AP II is continuously building an electric vehicle ecosystem at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, which is the largest and busiest airport in Indonesia and even in ASEAN.

The use of electric vehicles at Soekarno-Hatta Airport so far has included, among others, electric taxis, electric buses, electric bicycles used by airport staff, then golf cars/boogie cars for passenger transportation in the terminal, segway, to Skytrain as a rail-based transportation mode for transfers. passengers from and to Terminals 1, 2 and 3 as well as the Airport Train Station.

EGM of Adjacent Business AP II Yado Yarismano said this year the company again presented innovations in the development of the electric vehicle ecosystem at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

"The development of the electric vehicle ecosystem at Soekarno-Hatta Airport is carried out consistently and sustainably to optimally encourage the use of electric vehicles. In early November 2022, Soekarno-Hatta Airport opened a Public Electric Vehicle Charging Station (SPKLU). We hope that this SPKLU can make it easier to use electric vehicles so that more people will switch to electric vehicles.”

"The opening of the SPKLU at Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport is a form of AP II's contribution in accelerating the development of electric vehicles in the country, and also supports the 2022 G20 Indonesia Presidency which has three main topics to be raised, one of which is Energy Transition," Yado Yarismano said. .

Furthermore, Yado Yarismano said that in the early stages of SPKLU at Terminal 3 Soekarno-Hatta Airport, which was opened in early November 2022, it was also to support the implementation of the G20 Summit which took place on November 15-16 in Bali, where electric cars became a fleet of vehicles to pick up the G20 delegates attending the event. transit at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

"The SPKLU at Terminal 3 at this early stage is used to support the operation of electric vehicles in the implementation of the G20 Summit. 10 electric vehicle parking slots are provided for energy charging, with 1 unit of Fast Charging DC to quickly charge electric car energy in a matter of minutes, and 2 Normal Charging AC, "said Yado Yarismano.

Yado Yarismano revealed that the SPKLU in Terminal 3 also has a development plan until 2025.

"The SPKLU at Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport will be jointly developed by AP II and its subsidiary, PT Angkasa Pura Solusi (APS). Development will be carried out until 2025," said Yado Yarismano.

Director of Facility Management Business PT Angkasa Pura Solusi Muhammad Putra Pariadi said that after Phase I development was completed in 2022, the development continued to Phase II which will be completed in Semester II/2023.

"In Phase II, the number of parking slots for electric vehicles to charge energy at SPKLU Terminal 3 is increased to 20 slots with 2 Fast Charging DC and 3 Normal Charging AC," explained Muhammad Putra Pariadi.

Then in Phase III development which will be completed in early 2025, SPKLU in Terminal 3 will have 40 parking slots for charging electric vehicles with 5 Fast Charging DC and 5 Normal Charging AC.

"In Phase II, the SPKLU in Terminal 3 can be operated commercially to provide services for electric-based public vehicles and private vehicles, while in Phase III the capacity of the SPKLU will increase by being able to serve large vehicles," added Muhammad Putra Pariadi.

The opening of the SPKLU at Terminal 3 further complements the electric vehicle ecosystem so that it can encourage more use of electric vehicles at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.
