The Minister of Manpower awarded AP II a Certificate of Award for the COVID-19 Prevention and Protection Program in the workplace with the Platinum category

Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura II is recognized as the company with the best program in the prevention and control of COVID-19 in the workplace.

The AP II program in protecting workers from COVID-19 received an award from the Ministry of Manpower.

The Minister of Manpower, Ida Fauziyah, on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, symbolically awarded AP II a Certificate of Award for the COVID-19 Prevention and Control Program in the Workplace with the Platinum category.

The Platinum category itself is the highest where a company is considered to have implemented a COVID-19 prevention and control program in the workplace with the highest standards.

VP of Corporate Communication AP II Akbar Putra Mardhika said the program to protect workers from COVID-19 had been a top priority since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020.

“When WHO declared COVID-19 a global pandemic on March 11, 2020, and then the government declared COVID-19 a National Disaster on March 14, 2020, AP II responded by preparing a protection program for workers. We realize that airports are vital objects whose role is very much needed in handling the COVID-19 pandemic. In line with that, AP II's priority is the protection of the workforce so that AP II airports can always operate to contribute to handling the pandemic and national economic recovery."

"We are grateful for the appreciation given by the Minister of Manpower for the program carried out by AP II in preventing and dealing with COVID-19 in the workplace. This is a trigger for us to be better at protecting the workforce,” said Akbar Putra Mardhika.

Workforce Protection
In March 2020, AP II started to run a workforce protection program from COVID-19 called Workforce Protection, which consists of a number of procedures to ensure health and safety in the workplace.

Akbar Putra Mardhika said, "The Workforce Protection program at AP II relies on information technology systems by utilizing the company's internal application, namely iPerform."

Through Workforce Protection, AP II has a COVID-19 alert and control protocol with Tracing Management and Tracking Management integrated with iPerform.

Tracing Management is carried out to identify personnel who have symptoms of being infected with COVID-19, for further treatment. Meanwhile, Tracking Management is an independent reporting of personal conditions by personnel related to COVID-19.

"The Tracing Management and Tracking Management reports are carried out by utilizing iPerform, and then the results of the reports are always uploaded in real time on the COVID-19 Dashboard which was specifically created to monitor the status or condition of all AP II employees in the midst of a pandemic," explained Akbar Putra Mardhika.

Monitoring the status of the workforce in real time makes it easy for Angkasa Pura II to make adjustments to airport operations, including those related to operational patterns and operating hours.

"The reliability of the Workforce Protection program, which is strengthened by the iPerform and special Dashboard applications, makes protection for workers from COVID-19 run optimally and optimally, so that AP II airports can always operate in the midst of a pandemic with toughness and follow all applicable regulations," said Akbar Putra Mardhika.

As for Occupational Safety and Health (K3), AP II also received a Zero Accident Award for the period January 2019 - September 30, 2021 from the Minister of Manpower, a Certificate of Zero Accident Award for Banten Province in 2022 and a Charter of Awards Banten Province Level COVID-19 Prevention and Control Program in 2022 from the Governor of Banten.
