Jakarta - The global aviation sector has been badly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic which has lasted for approximately the last 2 years.
In facing the challenges of this pandemic, collaboration of all stakeholders is needed so that national airlines can recover quickly.
PT Angkasa Pura II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin said the company had carried out a number of collaborative programs with stakeholders to stimulate national aviation.
"AP II as an airport operator prioritizes collaboration with stakeholders in encouraging and accelerating the recovery of national flights," said Muhammad Awaluddin.
One form of collaboration carried out by AP II to support the recovery of flights and tourism is to enforce or stipulate the existence of 5 airport service incentive schemes for airlines, namely:
1. New Route Incentive (domestic, international and cargo flights)
Incentives in the form of 100% cashback for landing services (landing charges) are given at airports managed by AP II, except Soekarno-Hatta Airport and Kertajati Airport, for airlines that open new routes that have not been flown on a scheduled basis within 6 months
2. New Airlines Entrance Incentive (overseas flights and cargo)
Incentives in the form of 100% cashback for landing services (landing charges) are given at airports managed by AP II, except for Kertajati Airport, for national and foreign airlines that have not operated on a scheduled basis at one of AP II airports within 6 months.
3. Red Eye Incentive (domestic, overseas and cargo flights)
Incentives in the form of 100% cashback for landing services (landing charges) and aircraft parking services (parking charges) specifically at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, for airlines that open new destinations, new routes and additional frequencies at 24.00 - 04.00 local time.
4. Unscheduled flight incentive (non-scheduled domestic and foreign flights)
Incentives in the form of 100% cashback for landing services (landing charges) at AP II airports except Kertajati Airport, for non-scheduled flights initiated by AP II or the central government/local government, for example to support tourism programs
5. Supporting facilities incentive (domestic, foreign and cargo flights)
Incentives are given by each AP II airport to support inaugural flight activities, according to the facilities and capabilities of each airport. For example, inaugural flight activities can be in the form of a water salute procession and so on.
VP of Corporate Communications AP II Akbar Putra Mardhika said detailed incentive schemes including cashback procedures and other procedures were discussed directly between AP II and the airline.
"We hope that this incentive can be useful for airlines and help support flight recovery. The validity period of the incentives is in line with the periodic evaluations," said Akbar Putra Mardhika.
Currently, AP II airports that are opened to serve commercial flights are Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Tangerang), Kualanamu (Medan), Supadio (Pontianak), Minangkabau (Padang), Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II (Palembang), Sultan Syarif Kasim II (Pekanbaru). , Husein Sastranegara (Bandung), Sultan Iskandar Muda (Banda Aceh), Raja Haji Fisabilillah (Tanjungpinang), Sultan Thaha (Jambi), Depati Amir (Pangkal Pinang), Silangit (North Tapanuli), Kertajati (Majalengka), Banyuwangi (Banyuwangi) , Tjilik Riwut (Palangkaraya), Radin Inten II (Lampung), H.A.S Hanandjoeddin (Tanjung Pandan), Fatmawati Soekarno (Bengkulu), and General Soedirman (Purbalingga).
