AP II Airport is Ready to Warmly Welcome Return of Hajj Pilgrims Starting July 15, 2022

Hajj pilgrims arrive in the country through 5 AP II airports on 15 July - 13 August 2022


Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura II Airport is ready to welcome the return of pilgrims from Hajj 1 442 H/2022 AD from the Holy Land starting today, Friday 15 July 2022.

Tonight is planned at 23.05 WIB Soekarno-Hatta Airport to welcome the return of pilgrims from West Java who arrived from King Abdulaziz Airport (Jeddah) using Saudia airline flight number SV 5630 with a total number of 406 passengers.

Meanwhile, Minangkabau Airport (Padang) tonight will also welcome the return of pilgrims from West Sumatra who are planned to land with Garuda Indonesia flight number GA 3401 at 21.14 WIB from King Abdulaziz Airport with a total number of 393 passengers.

AP II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin said coordination had been carried out with all stakeholders in welcoming the return of the pilgrims to the country.

"AP II together with relevant stakeholders including the Ministry of Religion, Immigration, AirNav Indonesia, airlines, ground handling, TNI/Polri and other stakeholders have coordinated to ensure the smooth return of pilgrims to Indonesia starting tonight."

“AP II Airport is ready to warmly welcome the return of the Hajj pilgrims so that they can later be reunited with their families. We hope that the process of arriving for Hajj pilgrims at AP II airport can run smoothly without any shortcomings, "said Muhammad Awaluddin.

Muhammad Awaluddin said that all AP II airports serving returning pilgrims had prepared operational plans to ensure the smooth flow of arrivals from the arrival of the plane until the pilgrims had finished processing arrivals at the passenger terminal.

VP of Corporate Communications AP II Akbar Putra Mardhika said besides Soekarno-Hatta Airport, other AP II airports that were debarkated and ready to welcome the return of pilgrims were Kualanamu Airport (Deli Serdang), Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport (Palembang), Sultan Iskandar Muda Airport. (Aceh) and Minangkabau Airport (Padang).

“The return of the Hajj pilgrims through Soekarno-Hatta Airport on July 15 - August 13, 2022; Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport on 1 - 12 August 2022; Kualanamu Airport on 22 July - 1 August 2022; Aceh Sultan Iskandar Muda Airport on 26 July - 1 August 2022; and Minangkabau Airport on July 15 - August 12, 2022," said Akbar Putra Mardhika.

Akbar Putra Mardhika said that all hajj flight slots at AP II airports have been adjusted to the regular flight schedule to ensure that flight and airport operations can run smoothly.
