Successfully Holds Eid Transport 2022, AP II Receives an Award from the Ministry of Transportation

27 Jun 2022

Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura II received an award from the Ministry of Transportation for being able to properly organize Lebaran 2022 Transportation at the airports it manages.

In the implementation of Angleb 2022, AP II is considered capable of achieving optimal results in providing transportation services directly to the community based on an assessment of the criteria by each transportation sub-sector.

The Certificate of Appreciation from the Minister of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia was given by Inspector General of the Ministry of Transportation Gede Pasek Suardika to President Director of AP II Muhammad Awaluddin, Monday 27 June 2022.

Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi said that the success of the 2022 Eid homecoming event could not be separated from coordination and real work with all government agencies and related stakeholders.

"On behalf of individuals and institutions, I thank you for the good support and smooth collaboration with all parties who support the smooth implementation of this year's homecoming," said the Minister of Transportation.

The Minister of Transportation said that the President's directive to allow people to go home this year must be carried out properly. “This task is not easy, without good collaboration it is impossible to run. Indeed, there is one note that we must evaluate so that the implementation of the homecoming next year can be even better," he said.

The Minister of Transportation said that the implementation of Angleb 2022 in general is going better, this can be seen from the results of the SMRC survey where 76.4% of the people are satisfied with the government's performance in managing Angleb 2022.

AP II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin said the award from the Ministry of Transportation was an encouragement for the company to better serve the community, especially airplane passengers.

"We are grateful to the Minister of Transportation and staff who have intensively provided input and carried out good supervision so that Angleb at AP II airport runs smoothly by prioritizing security, service and safety aspects as well as compliance with all applicable regulations," said Muhammad Awaluddin.

Muhammad Awaluddin added that the success of the Angleb 2022 implementation was also thanks to the encouragement of the Minister of SOEs and their ranks to provide the best service to the community.

"The SOE Minister gave a live fire briefing at Soekarno-Hatta Airport to encourage all AP II personnel in providing the best service to travelers," said Muhammad Awaluddin.

The implementation of Angleb 2022 at all AP II airports went smoothly in line with strong collaboration among airport stakeholders.

"We are grateful for the collaboration of all stakeholders at the airport, namely the Airport Authority, airlines, ground handling, AirNav Indonesia, TNI and Polri, Customs, Immigration, Ministry of Health KKP, and the community so that Eid 2022 transportation is a success at AP II airport," said Muhammad Awaluddin.

Muhammad Awaluddin explained that the successful implementation of Angleb 2022 at AP II airport was carried out based on an evaluation of 3 indicators, namely the availability of capacity (capacity), operational timeliness (punctuality) and service standards (service ability).

During the implementation of Angleb at AP II airport on April 22 - May 13, 2022, flight seat capacity is able to meet existing demand, then flight operations meet the planned schedule and service standards at the airport are maintained even though passenger movements increase.

"Success in fulfilling capacity, punctuality and service ability is supported by the readiness of personnel and facilities at AP II airport. As at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, which is the central point of Eid transportation, AP II is again operating Terminal 1 and Kalayang (Skytrain) so that homecoming and return flows can run well," said Muhammad Awaluddin.

In addition, the efficiency and effectiveness of airport and flight operations during Angleb 2022 at Soekarno-Hatta Airport is supported by the implementation of the Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM) system which is a forum for stakeholders to coordinate to ensure smooth operations through increasing flight predictability.

During Angleb from April 22 to May 13 2022, the number of aircraft passenger movements at AP II airport reached 4.1 million people or 20% higher than the initial target of 3.4 million people. Especially at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, passengers reached around 2.5 million people.

The high movement of passengers is in line with the movement of aircraft which reached around 32,400 flights, and specifically at Soekarno-Hatta Airport around 20,600 flights. The movement of the aircraft was driven by 899 extra flights and the largest was at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, around 451 extra flights.
