Jakarta - The attitude, friendliness and efficiency of Soekarno-Hatta Airport staff in serving airplane passengers has again received global recognition.

Soekarno-Hatta Airport managed by PT Angkasa Pura II is in position 9 on the list of Best Airport Staff in Asia 2022 in the World's Best Airport Staff category at the Skytrax World Airport Award 2022 event.
The Skytrax World Airport Award 2022 event itself will take place in Paris, France, on June 16, 2022.
The 9th position on the list of Best Airport Staff in Asia 2022 is up one rank compared to the achievement of Soekarno-Hatta Airport on the list of Best Airport Staff in Asia 2021 which is in 10th position.
On the list of Best Airport Staff in Asia 2022, there are only two airports in ASEAN, namely Soekarno-Hatta Airport and Changi Airport.
AP II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin said the list of Best Airport Staff released by Skytrax illustrates that the quality of staff at an airport is considered very good from the attitude of serving, hospitality to serve and efficiency in serving.
"We are very grateful that in the midst of the great challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021, all staff at Soekarno-Hatta Airport can continue to provide the best service to airplane passengers. AP II is proud and grateful to all frontliners who work tirelessly and selflessly to provide the best for Soekarno-Hatta Airport and for the community."
"This Best Airport Staff in Asia award assesses the quality of all frontliner staff at the airport, namely customer service staff or info counters, immigration staff, security or aviation security staff, commercial tenant staff, and other staff who directly serve customers. We thank all stakeholders at Soekarno-Hatta Airport for providing the best service to customers," said Muhammad Awaluddin.
AP II's operational and service staff at Soekarno-Hatta Airport consist of passenger service staff, terminal inspection service, land transportation assistance, digital service, facility care, airport helper, golf car assistance and aviation security.
Then, there are also staff from airlines on duty at the check-in counter, boarding lounge, arrival gate/hall, then immigration, Customs and Excise, Quarantine, TNI/Polri personnel, and other stakeholders.
Staff at Soekarno-Hatta Airport serve the community, including at Terminal 1, Terminal 2, Terminal 3, Airport Train Station, and the Kalayang or Skytrain shelter at each terminal and at the station.
Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, Soekarno-Hatta Airport staff served around 60 - 70 million passenger movements annually, where this number of passenger movements made Soekarno-Hatta Airport one of the busiest airports in the world.
"All stakeholders were able to collaborate and coordinate well so that they succeeded in bringing Soekarno-Hatta Airport to 9th place on the list of Best Airport Staff in Asia 2022. This is truly an achievement to be grateful for in the midst of the great challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic," said Muhammad Awaluddin.
