Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura II has ensured the readiness of all airports managed by the company in the 2022 Lebaran Transport period.

AP II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin today, 23 April 2022, reviewed the operations and facilities at Husein Sastranegara Airport (Bandung) in anticipation of increasing flight traffic and serving travelers.

"This Eid transportation is the first after 2 years of being abolished due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, AP II is very anticipatory, including at Husein Sastranegara Airport, to ensure that the 2022 Eid transportation can run smoothly," explained Muhammad Awaluddin.

Muhammad Awaluddin said an increase in flight traffic would occur at AP II airports, including at Husein Sastranegara Airport.

"In general, during the Angleb 2022 period, there is an increase in flight traffic. Passenger movements are estimated to have reached around 87% of the movement during Angleb 2019 or when the pandemic had not yet occurred. Meanwhile, aircraft movements reach around 78%," said Muhammad Awaluddin.

Executive General Manager of Husein Sastranegara Airport, Cin Asmoro, said that the number of aircraft passenger movements at Husein Sastranegara Airport during the Lebaran Transportation period, namely April 22 - May 10, 2022 was estimated at 42,158 passengers, with aircraft movements of 362 flights.

"The peak of the homecoming flow at Husein Sastranegara Airport is predicted on April 30 with the number of passenger movements of 2,836 passengers, while the return flow on May 8 is 2,535 passengers," explained Cin Asmoro.

As an effort to anticipate the increase in flight traffic, Husein Sastranegara Airport has operated the 2022 Lebaran Transport Command Post as a coordination forum for all airport stakeholders, namely AP II as the airport operator, the COVID-19 Handling Task Force, Airport Authority, airlines, TNI, Polri, Regional Government, Quarantine, Customs and Excise. and Excise and Immigration.

Cin Asmoro explained that Husein Sastranegara Airport had also alerted nearly 200 personnel to ensure the smooth operation of Angleb 2022, consisting of, among others, Airport Rescue & Fire Fighting (ARFF) personnel, Apron Movement Control (AMC), Aviation Security (Avsec), Customer Service, Terminal Inspection Service. , Medical, and BKO from the TNI and Polri.

Husein Sastranegara Airport has also prepared health facilities to support Safe Homecoming and Healthy Homecoming, namely booster vaccination facilities and COVID-19 tests, both rapid antigen tests and RT-PCR.

"We hope to be able to serve travelers to and from Bandung well during the Lebaran 2022 transportation period. We also urge travelers to prepare the required documents for traveling by plane," explained Cin Asmoro.
