Monitoring Post Officially Operates, AP II Airport Starting Today Enters Eid 2022 Transport Period

On the first day of Angleb, the movement of passengers at AP II airport is estimated to reach 146,723 passengers

Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura II Airport starting today, April 22, 2022, enters the Eid 2022 transportation period.

AP II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin said that all AP II airports from today will focus on anticipating the movement of passengers and aircraft.

"All AP II airports are trying to realize Safe Homecoming, Healthy Homecoming. Airport personnel focus on existing movements and report in real-time, for analysis as a basis for making operational decisions in the field to ensure that AP II airports can continue to apply the principles of safety, security service and compliance with various regulations including the COVID-19 health protocol."

As an effort to increase vigilance, starting today 20 AP II airports have officially opened Air Transport Command Posts for the 2022 Eid period (1443 H).

"Not only supervising airport and flight operations, the command post is also in charge of supervising compliance with health protocols. Through this post, it will be easier for all stakeholders to coordinate to ensure Lebaran transportation at 20 AP II airports runs safely, orderly, safely and smoothly according to the principles of safety, security, service and compliance with various regulations, "explained Muhammad Awaluddin.

The 2022 Lebaran Transportation Post at AP II airport is strengthened by personnel from airport stakeholders, including AP II as the airport operator, the COVID-19 Handling Task Force, Airport Authority, airlines, TNI, Polri, Regional Government, Quarantine, Customs and Excise, and Immigration.

Muhammad Awaluddin said all stakeholders at AP II airport had anticipated an increase in the number of airplane passengers during Lebaran Transport.

"Standards of service at the airport must be maintained, health protocols must be followed, and all facilities are ensured to be in good condition."

As for today, 22 April 2022, which is the first day of the 2022 Lebaran Transportation period at AP II airport or around D-10 Lebaran, it is estimated that the number of aircraft passenger movements will reach 146,723 passengers.

The movement of aircraft passengers will continue to increase until it is estimated that at the peak of the homecoming flow on April 30, 2022 or around D-2, it can reach 169,781 passengers.

AP II airports themselves have received requests for additional flights (extra flights) from a number of airlines.

To date, the number of extra flights proposed by airlines to AP II has reached 538 extra flights for the period 25 April - 10 May 2022.

"Most of the extra flights are proposed at Soekarno-Hatta Airport. For the last 2 years there have been no extra flights proposed by the airline due to the COVID-19 pandemic. During the Lebaran Transportation period this year, there are extra flights again. This is certainly a concern and we will make operational adjustments and ensure the reliability of the facilities to accommodate the approved extra flights. The existence of extra flights is also an indicator of the recovery of the national aviation sector," said Muhammad Awaluddin.

AP II currently manages 20 airports, namely Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Tangerang), Halim Perdanakusuma (Jakarta), Kualanamu (Medan), Supadio (Pontianak), Minangkabau (Padang), Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II (Palembang), Sultan Syarif Kasim II (Palembang). Pekanbaru), Husein Sastranegara (Bandung), Sultan Iskandar Muda (Banda Aceh), Raja Haji Fisabilillah (Tanjungpinang), Sultan Thaha (Jambi), Depati Amir (Pangkal Pinang), Silangit (North Tapanuli), Kertajati (Majalengka), Banyuwangi ( Banyuwangi), Tjilik Riwut (Palangkaraya), Radin Inten II (Lampung), H.A.S Hanandjoeddin (Tanjung Pandan), Fatmawati Soekarno (Bengkulu), and General Besar Soedirman (Purbalingga).

AP II also appeals to travelers to pay attention to the flight requirements according to Circular Letter Number SE 36 of 2022, namely:

- Domestic travellers (PPDN) who are vaccinated against the third dose or booster are not required to show a negative result of the RT-PCR test or rapid antigen test;
- PPDN who are vaccinated with the second dose must show a negative result of the rapid antigen test, whose sample is taken within 1 x 24 hours or a negative result of the RT-PCR test, whose sample is taken within 3 x 24 hours before departure
- PPDN who were vaccinated with the first dose, must show a negative result of the RT-PCR test, whose sample was taken within 3 x 24 hours before departure
- PPDN under the age of 6 years are exempt from vaccination provisions and are not required to show a negative result of the RT-PCR test or rapid antigen test, but must travel with a companion.

Meanwhile, prospective airplane passengers aged 6-17 years and have received the second dose of vaccine, are not required to show a negative rapid antigen test result.
