Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura II estimates that the number of homecomers through the 20 airports managed by the company will reach 3.42 million passengers in the period 22 April - 13 May 2022.
The peak of the homecoming flow is estimated on April 30, 2022 with the number of homecomers reaching 169,781 airplane passengers.
Meanwhile, the peak of the return flow will be on May 8, 2022, with an estimated number of homecomers at 199,857 passengers.
Especially for Soekarno-Hatta Airport, which is the largest and busiest airport in Indonesia, the number of homecomers is estimated at 2.29 million airplane passengers.
AP II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin said the movement of homecomers at the AP II airport on the 2022 Lebaran Transport was almost close to the movement of homecomers on the 2019 Lebaran Transport.
"The number of homecomers in 2022 is estimated to be around 87% of the number of homecomers in 2019 or when there was no pandemic."
Furthermore, Muhammad Awaluddin said the company had made a number of preparations to ensure the smooth operation of Lebaran 2022 transportation at 20 airports.
"AP II coordinates with all stakeholders, including the Ministry of Transportation, the Ministry of SOEs, and InJourney Holding where AP II is a member of the holding."
"All stakeholders at AP II airport have also carried out assessments related to processes, human resources and other resources to ensure they can serve travelers well," said Muhammad Awaluddin.
Muhammad Awaluddin said AP II started the Lebaran Transportation period on April 22, or three days earlier than the start of the national Lebaran Transportation period, namely on April 25 in order to properly anticipate the increase in aircraft passengers.
AP II also ensures that there will be no increase in Aircraft Passenger Service (PJP2U) tariffs for this Eid Transport 2022, also known as Passenger Service Charge (PSC).
"Guaranteed levels of service must be much better, where for example at Soekarno-Hatta Airport on Lebaran Transport 2022 we will again operate the Skytrain connecting Terminal 1, Terminal 2, Terminal 3 and Airport Train Station," said Muhammad Awaluddin.
On April 22 - May 13, 2022, AP II also opened the Lebaran Transport Command Post which became a coordination forum among airport stakeholders.
The number of personnel prepared to reach 5,500 people consists of Airport Rescue & Fire Fighting, Apron Movement Control, Aviation Security, BKO TNI and Polri, Customer Service, Terminal Inspection Services, Airport Operation Control, Medical Service and so on.
