The Best Soekarno-Hatta Airport in Southeast Asia in the Midst of the COVID-19 Pandemic, Here Are 4 Reasons

18 Apr 2022

Jakarta - In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, health protocols are one of the important aspects that must be implemented to protect us in every activity, prevent the emergence of new variants and stop the chain of virus spread.

In line with that, PT Angkasa Pura II is fully committed to implementing good health protocols at the 20 airports managed by the company.

AP II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin said the health protocols implemented at the AP II airport were in accordance with domestic regulations and international best practices.

“The most effective mode of transportation in an archipelagic country is airplane. Airports must be able to maintain a sense of security and comfort in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic for the public or airplane passengers, so that the air transportation sector can still contribute to handling the pandemic and recovering the national economy.”

AP II airports themselves have also received various global awards following their consistency in following health protocols, including through innovations in Biosecurity and Biosafety Management.

One of the AP II airports that has received the most global awards related to the implementation of health protocols in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic is Soekarno-Hatta Airport, which is Indonesia's main gateway and the busiest airport in the country.

The following are the awards or achievements of Soekarno-Hatta Airport at the global level related to efforts to prevent COVID-19:
