Moto GP Riders Leave for Lombok Via Terminal 3 Soekarno-Hatta Airport

Jakarta - Soekarno-Hatta Airport became the first location to welcome riders participating in the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia March 18-20 2022.

Racers and team officials arrive at Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport from March 13-15 2022 to meet with President Joko Widodo and hold a parade on Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara to the HI Roundabout on March 16, 2022.

PT Angkasa Pura II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin said Soekarno-Hatta Airport ensures the best service for every party, including those who come to take part in international events in Indonesia.

"Soekarno-Hatta Airport as Indonesia's main gateway ensures the best service for every traveler, including for racers and team officials who will take part in the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 18-20 March 2022. Collaboration is carried out by AP II with various parties to ensure a seamless journey experience for all traveler," said Muhammad Awaluddin.

The service at Soekarno-Hatta Airport received a positive response from one of the figures in the two-wheel racing event, namely Michael Hill, who is famous as a presenter and interviewer in the paddock (the team's garage garage next to the start/finish line).

Michael Hill on his twitter said Soekarno-Hatta Airport has very good staff so that it provides an efficient experience in traveling.

“Must say 10/10 for the staff at Jakarta Airport. 15 minutes off the plane and I was already in the luggage belt (luggage collection area). Super efficient," he said.

Soekarno-Hatta Airport Executive General Manager Agus Haryadi said the drivers and team officials also underwent the applicable procedures to process international arrivals at the airport.

To support the smooth procedure, Soekarno-Hatta Airport provides a special area for PCR tests.

"Soekarno-Hatta Airport has prepared a special area for the PCR test for the team at Terminal 3. As soon as they land, they immediately conduct a PCR test," explained Agus Haryadi.

The racers including Marc Marquez, Andrea Dovizioso and Maverick Vinales, along with the official team left for Lombok this afternoon, March 16, 2022, after holding a parade in Jakarta.

Departure to Lombok is done through Terminal 3 Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

"Once the drivers and officials arrive at Terminal 3, they immediately report at the airline's check-in counter like other airplane passengers to process departures to Lombok. After that, they headed to the boarding lounge to await departure," said Agus Haryadi.

The place to board the plane or boarding gate is set at Gate 13 and the plane takes off at around 18.00 WIB to Lombok.
