Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura II is continuously developing Soekarno-Hatta Airport as the first Digital Aeroplex in Indonesia.
Digital Aeroplex has the meaning of an airport area built with a digital ecosystem through the application of modern technology (advanced technology) to improve services and operations.
AP II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin said the implementation of Digital Aeroplex at Soekarno-Hatta Airport was carried out in collaboration with various parties, especially market leaders in the technology and communication sector.
"Soekarno-Hatta Airport is not just an airport to get on and off the plane, but now it has become an independent area as an economic center equipped with various latest technologies, such as the massive use of electric vehicles, electricity-based transportation modes, namely Skytrain, to cleaning robots. floor," said Muhammad Awaluddin.
"AP II realizes Soekarno-Hatta Airport as a Digital Aeroplex area which is a pioneer in adopting various advances in technology. We do this by implementing three important aspects, namely: Smart Infrastructure, Connected Content and Digital Society," said Muhammad Awaluddin.
Regarding the Smart Infrastructure aspect, AP II always builds the best and latest digital infrastructure at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, where the latest is AP II's collaboration with Telkomsel in providing 5G access at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.
Muhammad Awaluddin said the 5G network is the latest generation (fifth generation) in wireless technology to experience experiences such as super-fast internet in the world and support digital experiences such as the use of Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) to experience the metaverse world.
“The 5G network is the latest technology that can change the way we live our lives. The application of 5G is still growing in Indonesia, and we are grateful that Soekarno-Hatta Airport is one of the locations that can quickly provide Telkomsel 5G access for travelers to experience this latest wireless technology standard," explained Muhammad Awaluddin.
Furthermore, Muhammad Awaluddin said this 5G access became a new standard of service for airplane passengers in Indonesia.
In the early stages, several collaborations based on 5G technology that will be developed include 5G Fixed Wireless Access, 5G Experience Corner and 5G Solution services from the Telkomsel Enterprise business unit to support the operations of PT Angkasa Pura II.
The association that oversees national airlines, namely the Indonesia National Air Carrier Association (INACA) appreciates the collaboration between AP II and Telkomsel.
General Chairperson of INACA Denon Prawiraatmadja said AP II together with Telkomsel had improved service standards for airplane passengers through the presence of the 5G network at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.
"We appreciate every party who strives to provide the best service for airplane passengers. We see Telkomsel and AP II collaborating to provide 5G access for travelers, and this is a very good thing. As we know, not many locations in Indonesia have 5G access, and we really appreciate that this service is available at Soekarno-Hatta Airport."
Denon Prawiraatmadja said the 5G network could speed up services for travelers.
"We hope that the 5G network will be wider at Soekarno-Hatta Airport so that it can accelerate services and encourage the birth of other innovations whose benefits can be felt by airplane passengers," he said.
The Smart Infrastructure also strongly supports the realization of Connected Content at Soekarno-Hatta Airport. Connected Content in the AP II environment is strengthened by the Indonesia Airport (INAirport) application to provide travelers with various information regarding services related to the airport and its supporters.
In line with Smart Infrastructure and Connected Content, AP II is also building a Digital Society.
“Human resources are the most important aspect for how we can always be at the forefront and fastest in adopting the latest technology. Therefore, AP II carries out Human Capital Transformation to form Human Resources who are Digital Savvy and Tech Savvy, and have moral values, namely Trustworthy, Competent, Harmonious, Loyal, Adaptive and Collaborative, "said Muhammad Awaluddin.
Through digital talents, AP II encourages the establishment of a Digital Society in the national airport sector.
