BPKP gave a score of 89,974 in the GCG assessment at AP II in 2021

Jakarta - Good Corporate Governance (GCG) at PT Angkasa Pura II is categorized as Very Good in the assessment by the Supreme Audit Agency (BPKP).

At the 2021 AP II GCG Assessment Exit Meeting, which was held on Friday, February 25, 2022, BPKP explained that AP II received a score of 89,974 which was categorized as Very Good.

The assessment was carried out on a number of parameters for the implementation of GCG, including the Aspects of Commitment to the Implementation of Sustainable Governance, Aspects of Shareholders and GMS/Capital Owners, Aspects of the Board of Commissioners, Aspects of the Board of Directors and Aspects of Information Disclosure and Transparency.

AP II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin said the results of this assessment could not be separated from the support of various parties so that AP II could implement GCG strictly under any conditions.

"We thank all parties including BPKP who have supported and provided direction to strengthen the GCG system at AP II. We are very grateful that even in challenging conditions due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, AP II can still implement GCG strictly."

"AP II believes that strict implementation of GCG is the main key in bringing the company to provide world-class services at all airports that we manage so that they are always on par with other world-class airport operators," said Muhammad Awaluddin.

Meanwhile, AP II has carried out various programs to ensure that GCG runs well. These programs include establishing an Anti-Bribery Management System (SMAP) according to the ISO 37001:2016 standard to identify, prevent and evaluate bribery risks.

In addition, AP II also has a whistleblowing system integrated electronically with the KPK as an initiative to prevent corruption. This integrated system also strengthens the violation prevention system that AP II already has.

AP II has also signed an MoU with the Directorate General of Taxes regarding the Integration of Tax Data to support increasing state revenues from taxes and strengthening the implementation of GCG.

Internally, since last year, AP II has had an Integrated Internal Audit Unit (SKAIT) to ensure continuity and harmony in carrying out audits within the company.

“AP II's business and portfolio are getting bigger and various efforts are needed to ensure the implementation of GCG. These various efforts to strengthen GCG really support AP II to achieve the vision of On Becoming Airport Enterprise Leader in the Region in 2024," explained Muhammad Awaluddin.

The Head of BPKP Representative for Banten Province, R. Bimo Gunung Abdulkadir, said that the AP II GCG implementation score continued to increase from year to year.

"Appreciation to AP II because the GCG assessment score continues to grow," said R. Bimo Gunung Abdulkadir.

The GCG assessment at AP II by BPKP is carried out every 2 years, where in 2017 the score obtained by AP II was 89,763, then it rose in 2019 to 89,893, then rose again in 2021 to 89,974.

R. Bimo Gunung Abdulkadir said there are still areas that AP II can improve to achieve a higher score.
