Halim Perdanakusuma Airport Temporarily Closed Starting January 26, 2022, AP II Runs Flight Transfer Scenarios Starting Today

Jakarta - The Ministry of Transportation and the Indonesian Air Force on January 21, 2022 informed that Halim Perdanakusuma Airport will be temporarily closed starting January 26, 2022 in the context of revitalization according to Presidential Decree No. 9 of 2022.

In line with that, PT Angkasa Pura II as the manager of Halim Perdanakusuma Airport on Saturday, January 22, 2022, began to run a flight operational shift scenario to 5 recipient airports, namely Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Tangerang), Husein Sastranegara Airport (Bandung), Kertajati Airport (Majalengka), Pondok Cabe Airport (Jakarta) and Budiarto Airport (Tangerang).

President Director of AP II Muhammad Awaluddin said the flight operational shift scenario was formulated by the Operation Readiness and Airport Transfer (ORAT) team formed by AP II.

"The ORAT team together with stakeholders including the Ministry of Transportation, the Airport Authority Office Region I, AirNav Indonesia, airlines and ground handling have been preparing a displacement scenario since about two months ago. Today, a coordination meeting with all stakeholders has also been held to smooth out the operational shift scenario that has been approved by all parties, "said Muhammad Awaluddin.

"There are a total of 21 flight operators, consisting of 2 scheduled commercial airlines, 17 non-scheduled commercial airlines and 2 cargo airlines, with a total fleet of 67 aircraft, plus 12 military aircraft that will move operations from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport to the receiving airport. "said Muhammad Awaluddin.

The following is the scenario for operating flight transfers from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport:

- Unscheduled operational shift of commercial airline fleet from 22 - 25 January 2022
Director of Operation & Services AP II Muhamad Wasid said unscheduled commercial airlines from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport were moved to Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Pondok Cabe Airport and Budiarto Airport.

"Flight safety and security facilities at the recipient airport are ensured to be able to handle fleet movements, taking into account facilities such as runways, aprons and taxiways," explained Muhamad Wasid.

Non-scheduled commercial airline aircraft that have moved operations to Soekarno-Hatta Airport are placed on the apron of Terminal 1, namely: Premium Air (1 unit), Indonesia Air Transport (1 unit), Elang Lintas (2 units), AFM (3 units), Kharisma (5 units), Tri MG (3 units), Enggang Air/CEO Jetset (3 units).

Meanwhile, aircraft that are planned to move to the GMF AeroAsia hangar at Soekarno-Hatta Airport include: Premium Air (8 units), Travira (1 unit), Kharisma (1 unit), PTN (1 unit), Jhonlin (2 units), Enggang Air/CEO Jetset (1 unit), AFM (1 unit).

Then, the planes planned to move to Pondok Cabe Airport include: Travira Air (4 units), Pelita Air (1 unit), Premium Air (1 unit), Jhonlin (1 unit), Susi Air (1 unit), Transwisata (3 units). ), Fasi (2 units).

Planes to move to Budiarto Airport include: Elang Lintas (2 units), Kharisma (3 units) and Airfast (3 units). For airline aircraft that move to Husein Sastranegara Airport is Biomantara (2 units).

The cargo planes that are planned to move to the apron of Terminal 1 Soekarno-Hatta Airport are Trigana Air (3 units) and Sriwijaya Air (1 unit).

EGM Halim Perdanakusuma Airport Marsma TNI Nandang Sukarna said the operations of 3 Air Squadrons (Skadud) were moved.

"Skadud 17 has moved to Soekarno-Hatta Airport, while Skadud 2 and Skadud 31 have moved to Husein Sastranegara Airport."

- Implementation of scheduled commercial airline transfers (Citilink & Batik Air)
On January 25, 2022, it is planned that Batik Air and Citilink will still depart from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, while for arrivals (arrivals) a number of destinations to Halim Perdanakusuma Airport will be diverted to Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

- Kertajati Airport (Majalengka) is prepared to support the movement
Cargo aircraft placement, RON (Remain Over Night) aircraft placement, charter flights, and Touch and Go Military activities will be carried out at Kertajati Airport

AP II will ensure that the operational shift scenario can run smoothly. Airlines are asked to also inform passengers regarding operational transfers from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport to the receiving airport.
