AP II supports the development of MSMEs through the Gate Indonesia program
Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura II as the manager of 20 airports in Indonesia fully supports the growth of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) which are the backbone of the national economy.
AP II currently has the Indonesian Children's Nation Proud Movement (Gerbang Indonesia) program with the aim of making the airport the main place for MSME development (incubation, training, financing and promotion), the airport as a MSME transactional place, and the airport as a tourism and cultural hub.
"As is known, the airport is the gateway to an area so that it becomes a strategic location in developing MSMEs, including introducing flagship products from local MSMEs," said AP II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin.
In line with this, one of the implementations of the Gate of Indonesia implementation is that AP II fully supports the Proudly Made Indonesia National Movement (Gernas BBI) program initiated by the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Kemenkomarves).
On this day, January 19, 2022, at Sultan Thaha Airport (Jambi), the Ministry of Communications and Maritime Affairs and the Ministry of Transportation together with the Jambi Provincial Government, AP II and Bank Indonesia, officially kicked off the implementation of the 2022 BBI Gernas.
The Gernas BBI 2022 Kick Off was also attended by Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut B. Pandjaitan, Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi, Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning/BPN Sofyan Djalil, Deputy Minister of Trade Jerry Sambuaga, and Jambi Governor Al Haris.
"This kick-off at Sultan Thaha Airport begins the entire series of Gernas BBI 2022 campaigns from January to December 2022 throughout Indonesia. AP II itself will hold Gernas BBI 2022 at 7 airports," said Muhammad Awaluddin.
The seven AP II airports holding Gernas BBI 2022 are Sultan Thaha Airport (Jambi) in January 2022, then Raja Haji Fisabilillah Airport (Tanjung Pinang) in March 2022, Minangkabau Airport (Padang) in April 2022, HAS Hanandjoeddin Airport (Belitung) in May 2022, Radin Inten II Airport (Lampung) in June 2022, Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport (Palembang) in November 2022, and Supadio Airport (Pontianak) in December 2022.
Muhammad Awaluddin said it was very important for every company to support the development of MSMEs.
“MSMEs have higher agility compared to large-scale businesses. MSMEs are sectors that can rise up the fastest and find new opportunities in the midst of a crisis," said Muhammad Awaluddin, who has also published two books on MSME development, namely Digital Entrepreneurshift and Digital Championshift.
In the book, Muhammad Awauddin emphasizes the importance of using technology in the development of MSMEs, as well as the ins and outs of business by utilizing technology and understanding strategies and tactics to become part of the digital market ecosystem.
