Tightening Health Protocols During Nataru Air Transport Period 2021/2022, Soekarno-Hatta Airport Activates Terminal 1A and Terminal 2F

International passengers who land at Soekarno-Hatta Airport get free drinks and snacks

Jakarta - As an effort to maintain and tighten health protocols during the Christmas and New Year 2021/2022 air transportation period, Soekarno-Hatta Airport has reactivated Terminal 1A and Terminal 2F in December 2021.

Terminal 1A is activated to serve domestic flights, where at the initial stage currently Terminal 1A has served the arrival of a number of domestic flight routes from NAM Air and Sriwijaya Air. Meanwhile, the departure of the domestic flight routes of NAM Air and Sriwijaya Air is carried out at Terminal 2D.

The next stage, Terminal 1A will serve the arrival of a number of Airfast, Super Air Jet and AirAsia Indonesia flight routes.

Then, in the next stage, Terminal 1A will serve the departure and arrival of domestic flights.

Soekarno-Hatta Airport Executive General Manager Agus Haryadi said preparations had been made so that Terminal 1A could be activated in line with current conditions and as a readiness to face the 2021/2022 Nataru air transportation period.

"We urge airlines to actively inform the departure and arrival terminals to airplane passengers. AP II will also actively inform departure and arrival terminals through various media channels," said Agus Haryadi.

Meanwhile, Terminal 2F is again actively serving the arrival of all Malindo Air international flights, namely Kuala Lumpur - Jakarta. All departures for Malindo Air flights from Jakarta to Kuala Lumpur will still be carried out at Terminal 3.

"In order to serve Malindo Air's international arrivals at Terminal 2F, supporting facilities have been provided for airplane passengers to be able to undergo international arrival procedures, including facilities for checking health documents (vaccination cards and PCR certificates) by personnel from the Port Health Office of the Ministry of Health, then test facilities. PCR at the terminal, then immigration facilities as well as customs and excise, as well as a holding bay for passengers to go to the quarantine location," said Agus Haryadi.

"Gradually, Terminal 2F will also serve international flights from other airlines," said Agus Haryadi.

Agus Haryadi explained that the opening of Terminals 1A and 2F took into account the readiness of various stakeholders.

"In line with the reopening of Terminals 1A and 2F, Soekarno-Hatta Airport is currently operating with Terminal 1A, Terminal 2D, 2E, 2F, and Terminal 3. This provides more space to ensure monitoring and implementation of health protocols such as physical distancing can be carried out by good," said Agus Haryadi.

Agus Haryadi added, "Stakeholders are collaborating in the midst of this pandemic so that Soekarno-Hatta Airport operates tough and adapts quickly, optimally and effectively," said Agus Haryadi.

The following is a list of airlines at Soekarno-Hatta Airport:
- Terminal 1A: Currently the arrival of a number of domestic flight routes NAM Air and Sriwijaya Air
- Terminal 2D: NAM Air and Sriwijaya Air departures; Lion Air Departure and Arrival, Airfast, Super Air Jet, AirAsia Indonesia
- Terminal 2E: Batik Air Departure and Arrival
- Terminal 2F: Malindo Air International Arrival
- Terminal 3: Domestic/International Departures and Arrivals Garuda Indonesia, Citilink, AirAsia Indonesia; and International Departures and Arrivals of foreign airlines

Free drinks and snacks
As a form of service to airplane passengers, starting December 21, 2021, AP II together with stakeholders will provide free drinks and snacks for international airplane passengers who have just landed at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

"Every airplane passenger from abroad who lands at Soekarno-Hatta Airport will be immediately given free bottled drinking water (AMDK) before undergoing the international arrival procedure. This is also a form of welcome, especially for Indonesian citizens who return to the country, "explained Agus Haryadi.

"Then, free snacks are also given when Indonesian citizens are going to the bus to undergo quarantine at Wisma Atlet, Pasar Rumput flats or at Wisma Nagrak. We hope that the provision of drinks and snacks can improve service standards at Soekarno-Hatta Airport," added Agus Haryadi.

The Commander of the Air Task Force for Handling COVID-19, Lt. Col. Agus Listiono, appreciated this initiative from AP II.

Meanwhile, passengers on international routes who land at Soekarno-Hatta Airport are required to undergo international arrival procedures according to the Circular Letter of the Minister of Transportation.
