This RT-PCR test service with 3-hour results is specifically for airplane passengers departing on the same date as the test. For passengers departing on a different date from the test, they can choose the RT-PCR test service with 1x24 hour results which are also available at the Airport Health Center at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.
Meanwhile, there is no price difference between the 3-hour results and the 1x24-hour results, where the current price is set at Rp495,000 according to the Circular Letter of the Director General of Health Services number HK.02.02/I/2845/2021 concerning the Highest Examination Tariff Limit. Reserve Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR). In the future, price adjustments may be made again, pending regulation from the government.
President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) Muhammad Awaluddin said the RT-PCR test service at the Airport Health Center aims to support the implementation of health protocols in air transportation.

Meanwhile, since it opened on October 24, 2021, the RT-PCR test service with results coming out in about 3 hours is quite an option for airplane passengers.
In about 2 days, in the period from October 24 to October 26 until 6 am, there were 230 airplane passengers who chose the RT-PCR service with results coming out in about 3 hours.
In fact, on October 26, at 00.00 - 12.00 WIB, the number who underwent RT-PCR with results of about 3 hours out reached 96 passengers or more than those who chose RT-PCR results 1x24 hours as many as 57 people.
"We see that there has been a shift that airplane passengers are now carrying out RT-PCR tests on the same day as departure, because the Airport Health Center at Soekarno-Hatta Airport is able to provide test results out in about 3 hours," said Muhammad Awaluddin.
As is known, starting October 24, 2021, Soekarno-Hatta Airport will implement the provisions in the Circular Letter of the Minister of Transportation Number 88/2021 concerning Guidelines for the Implementation of Domestic Travel by Air Transportation During the COVID-19 Pandemic.
In accordance with the SE, passengers on airplanes to and from Soekarno-Hatta Airport are required to show a COVID-19 vaccine letter for at least the first dose and a certificate of negative RT-PCR test results whose samples were taken a maximum of 2x24 hours before departure.
Meanwhile, the RT-PCR test service with results in around 3 hours will also be available at other AP II airports.
