New Flight Provisions Will Take Effect Tomorrow Including RT-PCR Obligations, Here Are 6 Soekarno-Hatta Airport Readiness

Jakarta - Soekarno-Hatta Airport starting tomorrow, October 24, 2021, will enforce the provisions in the Circular Letter of the Minister of Transportation Number 88/2021 concerning Guidelines for the Implementation of Domestic Travel by Air Transportation During the COVID-19 Pandemic.

In line with the provisions of the SE, airplane passengers departing from Soekarno-Hatta Airport are required to show a minimum first dose of vaccine and a certificate of negative RT-PCR test results with a maximum sample taken 2x24 hours before departure.

"As the largest and busiest airport in Indonesia, as well as an anchor for domestic flights, Soekarno-Hatta Airport is ready to support domestic travel by air transportation, always complying with the health protocols in the SE Menhub," said President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) Muhammad Awaluddin. .

The following is the support provided by Soekarno-Hatta Airport for the implementation of the new provisions that take effect on October 24:

1. Airport Health Center
Soekarno-Hatta Airport provides RT-PCR test facilities at the Airport Health Center located at Terminal 3 and Terminal 2.
At each terminal, there is a walk-in service (prospective passengers come directly to the location), then pre-order service (prospective passengers make a reservation first, including through the travelin application), then drive thru service.
Airport Health Center is operated by a partner who has competence in this field.

2. Vaccination Center
Prospective flight passengers can undergo the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination at the vaccination center located in Terminal 2 and Terminal 3.

"The vaccination center at Soekarno-Hatta Airport is a form of good collaboration between AP II as the airport manager and the Soekarno-Hatta Class I Port Health Office (KKP Kemenkes) and other agencies in supporting the acceleration of the national vaccination program. In addition to the Ministry of Health's KKP, Soekarno-Hatta Airport is also very open and has collaborated several times with other agencies in opening vaccination centers for the wider community, "said Muhammad Awaluddin.

3. Vending machine providing personal protective equipment (PPE)
At a number of points inside Terminal 2 and Terminal 3, there are vending machines that provide personal protective equipment (PPE) and cleaning equipment for 24 hours, such as masks, gloves, hand sanitizer, anti-bacterial tissue.
The ease of obtaining this equipment is to help prospective passengers to always apply health protocols as also stipulated in the Minister of Transportation's Decree Number 88/2021.

4. Devices/facilities for Care to Protect
SE Menhub Number 88/2021 requires domestic travelers to fill in the eHAC in the PeduliLindung application. In addition, in processing departures, travelers are also asked to show a letter of RT-PCR test results and a vaccine letter contained in the PeduliLindung application.
In line with that, AP II together with relevant stakeholders have prepared devices/facilities to support the use of PeduliLindung applications such as QR code readers, and so on.

5. Isolation room and equipment
The Ministry of Health's KKP at Soekarno-Hatta Airport has procedures for handling people suspected of being exposed to COVID-19. To support this procedure, supporting facilities have been prepared at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, such as isolation rooms, stretcher isolation chambers, and ambulances to take patients to referral hospitals.

6. PCR Service on Arrival
In order to strengthen health protocols, Soekarno-Hatta Airport has also provided PCR test facilities at Terminal 3 International Arrivals for passengers who have just landed from abroad, which is also to comply with the provisions in the SE Minister of Transportation Number 85/2021 concerning Guidelines for the Implementation of International Travel. By Air Transportation During the COVID-19 Pandemic. In the near future, Soekarno-Hatta Airport will also operate a Level 2 Bio Safety Laboratory (BSL 2) to increase the capacity of RT-PCR sample inspection for passengers from abroad.

Muhammad Awaluddin said AP II ensured that Soekarno-Hatta Airport could operate properly by carrying out various procedures set in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
