All AP II airports commemorate Indonesia's 76th anniversary

Jakarta - The commemoration of Independence Day August 17 at all airports managed by PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) took place solemnly.

Exactly at 10.17 WIB, all activities at the airplane passenger terminal were temporarily suspended to invite airplane passengers, airport visitors and airport staff to stand up straight and take a perfect attitude to commemorate Indonesia's independence.

At Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport, the commemoration of the Seconds of the Proclamation was held. The series of activities began with the sounding of a siren at 09.53 WIB.

"In order to commemorate Indonesia's 76th Anniversary, AP II carried out the commemoration of the Seconds of the Proclamation at all airports, as was done at Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport," said AP II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin.

Muhammad Awaluddin said, "At Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport, the activity began with the sounding of sirens, the sound of the First President of Indonesia, Ir. Soekarno while reading the text of the Proclamation of Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, then the singing of the anthem Indonesia Raya, which was followed by the cessation of every activity to invite all airplane passengers and airport visitors to stand up straight and take a perfect attitude, "said AP II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin.

At Terminal 3 Soekarno-Hatta Airport, this Independence commemoration activity was attended by everyone in the terminal.

"The commemoration of Indonesian Independence took place solemnly at AP II airports, as seen at Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport, everyone stood tall and took the perfect attitude to honor the Commemoration of the Seconds of the Proclamation," explained Muhammad Awaluddin.

Meanwhile, a number of Aviation Security, Rescue & Fire Fighting Service (RFFS), and Customer Service personnel acted as Flag-bearing Troops to line up carrying the Red and White flag at Terminal 3.

"At this moment of Indonesia's 76th anniversary, AP II is also committed to always providing the best service to the community, maintaining national air connectivity, and making Indonesia proud at the global level," Muhammad Awaluddin explained.

The commemoration of the Seconds of the Proclamation was also carried out in all airports managed by AP II. AP II currently manages 20 airports located in Sumatra (12 airports), Java (6 airports) and Kalimantan (2 airports).
