Number of Passengers injecting COVID-19 Vaccination Airplanes at AP II Airport Reaches 40,000 People, the Most at Soekarno Hatta Airport

Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin appreciates the vaccination center and the application of the PeduliLindung application for passenger departures at AP II airport

Jakarta - The number of airplane passengers who were vaccinated against COVID-19 at PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) airports exceeded 40,000 people in the period 3 - 22 July 2021.

Since the vaccination center was officially opened on July 3, the highest number of vaccinations has been at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, which is about 26,000 people.

Vaccination centers at AP II airports are professionally managed with full support from the Ministry of Health, Provincial Government, Regional Government, airlines, TNI/Polri, and various other institutions, so that they can run this vaccination program smoothly.

As for today, July 23, 2021, Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin conducted a review of the location of the 'Vaccination at the Airport' program at Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport which is the result of a collaboration between the Ministry of Health, Traveloka and AP II.

"Collaboration of various parties like this is needed to support the national vaccination program," said the Minister of Health.

The 'Vaccination at the Airport' program will be held on 12 - 25 July 2021 for the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and is opened free of charge to the general public aged 18 years and over to the elderly. It is targeted that the number of vaccine recipients in the collaboration program of the Ministry of Health, Traveloka and AP II will reach 14,000 people on July 12-25.

On the same occasion, the Minister of Health also expressed his appreciation regarding the implementation of vaccinations at all AP II airports including Soekarno-Hatta Airport which is well managed by utilizing technology support.

AP II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin said information technology was very helpful in the operation of the vaccination center at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

"Soekarno-Hatta Airport's vaccination center is opened to serve the existing flight schedule for 24 hours, and until now it has served vaccinations for tens of thousands of people. The operation of this vaccination center can no longer be done manually, but it requires the application of information technology to make operations and services run smoothly," said Muhammad Awaluddin.

Muhammad Awaluddin added, "Through the application of information technology, we created a dashboard for real time monitoring of vaccination services at Soekarno-Hatta to see directly the number of people who registered, the number of people who had made observations, and other information so that we can also maintain services by paying attention to availability. vaccination at the Port Health Office of the Ministry of Health.”

AP II will continue to open vaccination centers to support prospective airline passengers to meet the current health protocols.

The AP II vaccination center is also expected to support the acceleration of the national vaccination program in order to realize herd community in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

CareProtect Application
At Soekarno-Hatta Airport, the Minister of Health also reviewed the implementation of the Circular Letter of the Ministry of Health Number 847 of 2021.

As is known, Soekarno-Hatta Airport has implemented the provisions in the SE so that prospective airplane passengers do not need to bring physical health documents (paper), but only show a vaccination card and a digital COVID-19 test certificate in the PeduliLindung application.

Validation at the airport is carried out by the Ministry of Health's KKP personnel using a barcode scanner and/or the PeduliLindung application microsite, as well as by airline officers at the check-in counter.

The Minister of Health appreciated AP II for implementing this provision and requested that its implementation be carried out consistently.

"The application must be consistent, and laboratories that are integrated with NAR must also be consistent in uploading test results to the PeduliLindung application," said the Minister of Health.

Muhammad Awaluddin said AP II strongly supports the application of digitizing health documents because it makes validation done without physical paper.

"We support SE Number 847/2021 as our adaptation to the COVID-19 pandemic. In the midst of a pandemic, health documents are mandatory for flying. Through the provisions in the SE, we can show health documents paperless, and digitally in the PeduliLindung application.”

"This can speed up the process at the airport and the most important thing is to prevent document falsification," said Muhammad Awaluddin.

AP II is currently in the context of testing, has also implemented provisions for digitizing passenger health documents which are integrated with the PeduliLindung application at other airports managed by the company.
