Soekarno-Hatta Airport Implements Digital Health Document Validation in PeduliLindung Application for Airplane Passenger Departure Process, 17 Other Airports Hold Trials

Jakarta - The Ministry of Health issues Circular Number 847 of 2021 concerning the Digitization of Health Documents for Air Transportation Users who are integrated with the PeduliLindung application.

Following this, after a trial has been carried out since 5 July 2021, starting today Monday 19 July 2021 the Soekarno-Hatta Class I Port Health Office of the Ministry of Health applies digital health document validation in the PeduliLindung application for prospective airplane passengers who will depart from Soekarno Airport. - Hatta.

In line with that, prospective airplane passengers are required to download the PeduliLindung application on iOS or Android and register.

If the prospective passenger has been vaccinated, a vaccination card will appear in the application.

Prospective passengers are also required to carry out a COVID-19 test at 742 laboratories that are integrated with the Ministry of Health's New All Record (NAR) data, where later test results will also be directly uploaded to the PeduliLindung application. The names of the 742 laboratories are listed in the Circular Letter of the Minister of Health Number 4642/2021 concerning the Organization of the COVID-19 Examination Laboratory.

The inspection/validation of digital health documents (vaccination cards and COVID-19 test results) in the PeduliLindung application will be carried out at the airport by personnel from the Ministry of Health's Port Health Office (KKP Kemenkes) or at check-in counters by airlines using barcode scanners and/or or the PeduliLindung application microsite.

As is known, currently a vaccination card and a valid COVID-19 test result letter are requirements for prospective airplane passengers to be able to travel.

AP II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin said this implementation was to strengthen health protocols in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"We ask for the support of prospective airplane passengers in implementing this provision, which is in accordance with the Circular Letter of the Minister of Health Number 847 of 2021," said Muhammad Awaluddin.

The Head of the Soekarno-Hatta Class I Port Health Office at the Ministry of Health, Dr. Darmawali Handoko, said, "After 2 weeks of testing, this procedure is implemented at Soekarno-Hatta Airport."

The application of digitizing health documents for prospective airline passengers that is integrated with PeduliLindung is also to prevent or eliminate the potential for counterfeiting vaccination cards or COVID-19 test results, be it PCR or antigen.

Trial at 17 airports
Starting today, Monday 19 July 2021, AP II will gradually test this procedure at 17 airports managed by the company.

The 17 airports are Halim Perdanakusuma (Jakarta), Kualanamu (Medan), Supadio (Pontianak), Minangkabau (Padang), Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II (Palembang), Sultan Syarif Kasim II (Pekanbaru), Husein Sastranegara (Bandung), Sultan Iskandar Muda (Banda Aceh), Raja Haji Fisabilillah (Tanjungpinang), Sultan Thaha (Jambi), Depati Amir (Pangkal Pinang), Silangit (North Tapanuli), Banyuwangi (Banyuwangi), Tjilik Riwut (Palangkaraya), Radin Inten II (Lampung) , HAS Hanandjoeddin (Tanjung Pandan), Fatmawati Soekarno (Bengkulu).

A number of prospective airplane passengers feel the benefits of digitizing this health document, as stated by one of the prospective passengers at Sultan Thaha Airport, Jambi.

“It's very practical, so we don't need to contact each other to give the paper. Just scan, immediately verified. Safer, simpler. We just need to scan, it will appear on our screen whether we are airworthy or not," said the prospective passenger.

Muhammad Awaluddin added, "We fully support the digitization of health documents mandated by the Ministry of Health, because it can strengthen the implementation of health protocols in the aviation sector, prevent falsification of vaccination certificates and COVID-19 test results, and as part of our joint efforts to adapt in the midst of a pandemic. this."

As a form of support, AP II airports together with the local Ministry of Health KKP will also coordinate with laboratories that are included in the list of 742 laboratories so that they can jointly succeed in the implementation of digitizing health documents in accordance with SE Minister of Health Number 847 of 2021.
