Opening Hours Extended, Soekarno-Hatta Airport Vaccination Center Now Supports Every Flight Schedule For 24 Hours

Jakarta - The Soekarno-Hatta Airport Vaccination Center Service has been expanded from today, 7 July 2021, so that prospective airplane passengers can always apply health protocols during the Java-Bali Emergency Community Activity Restriction (PPKM) period.

This service expansion includes an extension of operating hours, where the Terminal 2 Vaccination Center is now open at 08.00 - 17.00 WIB and 22.00 - 03.00 WIB. Meanwhile, the Terminal 3 Vaccination Center is open at 08.00 - 17.00 WIB and 20.00 - 01.00 WIB.

Previously, the two vaccination centers only operated at 08.00 - 17.00 WIB and made prospective airplane passengers have to wait a long time to get vaccinated if they had to travel urgently, for example in the early morning.

"Through the new operational hours, the Vaccination Centers Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 support each other to provide vaccinations that can meet the needs of prospective passengers to make urgent trips on every flight schedule that is available for 24 hours at Soekarno-Hatta Airport every day," said the President. Director of PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) Muhammad Awaluddin.

Any airline ticket holder can vaccinate at the Vaccination Center Terminal 2 or Terminal 3.

Muhammad Awaluddin added, "The main purpose of extending the operating hours of the Vaccination Center at Soekarno-Hatta Airport is to ensure that airplane passengers comply with health protocols so that the aviation sector can continue to support urgent trips made by the community during the Java - Bali Emergency PPKM. We hope that this vaccination center can also support the acceleration of the vaccination program launched by the government.”

The vaccination dose at the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Vaccination Center is currently limited to around 1,000 doses per day.

As is known, in the Java-Bali Emergency PPKM which will take place from 3 to 20 July 2021, the government enforces the Minister of Transportation Circular No. 45 of 2021, which includes requiring domestic flight passengers to show a vaccination card for at least the first dose and the results of a PCR test whose samples are taken a maximum of 2x24 hours before departure.

"AP II would like to thank stakeholders including the Port Health Office of the Ministry of Health [KKP of the Ministry of Health] and airlines who have fully supported the operation of the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Vaccination Center," said Muhammad Awaluddin.

The Soekarno-Hatta Airport Vaccination Center in Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 first operates on July 3, 2021.

On 3 - 6 July or within 4 operational days, the number of vaccinations carried out at the Vaccination Centers of Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 has been carried out on 2,897 people.

Meanwhile, the vaccination centers at 18 AP II airports as of July 6th had vaccinated 4,189 people.
