High Interest on the First Day of Operation of the Vaccination Center at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, At least 570 Prospective Passengers Get Vaccination

03 Jul 2021

Jakarta - Soekarno-Hatta Airport today, July 3, 2021, begins to open Vaccination Centers in Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 for prospective airline passengers who already have flight tickets.

The Soekarno-Hatta Airport Vaccination Center is not only to support prospective aircraft passengers to always comply with the health protocols in the Java-Bali Emergency PPKM, as well as to support the acceleration of the vaccination program launched by the government in order to realize communal immunity (herd immunity) in the midst of this pandemic.

As is known, in the Java-Bali Emergency PPKM, passengers on planes to and from Java and Bali are required to show a vaccination card at least the first dose and a letter of RT-PCR results.

On the first day of the Vaccination Center Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, the enthusiasm of prospective airplane passengers was high enough to vaccinate at the two vaccination locations.

In total, on the first day, at least 570 people were vaccinated at the Vaccination Center of Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

"Soekarno-Hatta Airport Vaccination Center, which is fully supported by the Ministry of Health and the Soekarno-Hatta Class I Port Health Office, is officially opened today, and it turns out that the existence of this vaccination center has received a positive response from prospective airplane passengers. We hope that this vaccination center can also support the acceleration of the national vaccination program in order to create a herd community in the midst of a pandemic," said PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) President Director Muhammad Awaluddin.

Muhammad Awaluddin added, "The implementation of the first day of the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Vaccination Center also went smoothly, all vaccination procedures were carried out well by prospective vaccination recipients who are also prospective airplane passengers, starting from registration, screening process, vaccination, to observation after vaccination. We are committed to always maintaining the smooth running of this process.”

Today, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut B. Pandjaitan accompanied by Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi, Deputy Minister of SOEs Pahala Mansury and President Director of AP II Muhammad Awaluddin, reviewed the implementation of the Terminal 3 Vaccination Center at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

“Today, we saw the flow of vaccinations at the airport. Each terminal at Soetta Airport has provided vaccination centers, including ports such as Ketapang and Merak, so that all people who will travel have carried out at least 1 (one) first dose of vaccine," said Coordinating Minister Luhut when giving an explanation regarding the vaccination center.

"With us vaccinating as many as possible, this will be one of the most effective ways to deal with the current increase in cases," said Coordinating Minister Luhut.

Coordinating Minister Luhut also reminded that during this Emergency PPKM we must strictly maintain health protocols and reduce mobilization.

The Vaccination Center of Terminal 2 Soekarno-Hatta Airport is operated in an area of approximately 300 square meters, is located in the arrival area of 2E and operates from 08.00 - 17.00 WIB.
