Jakarta - Soekarno-Hatta Airport starting today, July 3, 2021, will open a COVID-19 vaccination center in Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 for prospective airplane passengers.
Every prospective airplane passenger who has a flight ticket from Soekarno-Hatta Airport can undergo free vaccination at that location.
President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) Muhammad Awaluddin said the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Vaccination Center was opened with collaboration and full support from the Class I Soekarno-Hatta Port Health Office (KKP Kemenkes).
"We are grateful for the support from the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Health's KKP Soekarno-Hatta Class I so that the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Vaccination Centers in Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 can be opened for prospective airplane passengers."
It is hoped that with this vaccination center, prospective passengers can always comply with health protocols during the Emergency Community Activity Restriction (PPKM) period, where the requirements for domestic travel by plane to and from Java and Bali are to show a vaccination card and PCR test results (maximum 2x24 hours before departure).
Vaccination Center Terminal 2 Soekarno-Hatta Airport operates in an area of approximately 300 square meters, is located in the arrival area 2E and operates from 08.00 - 17.00 WIB with a vaccination capacity of 200 people/hour.
Meanwhile, the Vaccination Center of Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport is operated in an area of approximately 485 square meters, located in the West Lobby of Domestic Arrivals and operates from 08.00 - 16.00 WIB with a vaccination capacity of 197 people/hour.
The general procedures for carrying out the vaccination process at these two locations are:
1. Prospective flight passengers must already have flight tickets and are advised to arrive at the vaccination location at least 3 hours before the scheduled flight departure
2. Prospective passengers take their ticket/queue number at the vending machine
3. Prospective flight passengers fill out the vaccination form
4. Doctors make observations on prospective passengers who will vaccinate
5. Prospective flight passengers vaccinate
6. After vaccination, prospective flight passengers wait 15 minutes at the location for observation.
The public's interest is quite good towards this vaccination center, where at the Terminal 2 Vaccination Center today, July 3, 2021, at 10.35 WIB, the number of prospective airplane passengers who will be vaccinated will have reached 143 people.
"Soekarno-Hatta Airport Vaccination Center also aims to support the acceleration of the COVID-19 vaccination program launched by the government as our joint effort in realizing communal immunity or herd community in Indonesia to deal with COVID-19," said Muhammad Awaluddin.
The government has launched an acceleration of the vaccination program, and in this regard, President Joko Widodo targets that by August nationally, 2 million vaccinations can be carried out per day.
SOE Minister Erick Thohir at the opening of the Joint COVID-19 Vaccination Center at Istora Senayan in March 2021 emphasized that the acceleration of national vaccination must be carried out in order to realize a Healthy Indonesia as soon as possible.
COVID-19 test
Meanwhile, Airport Health Center Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 starting July 5, 2021 will expand services by providing more complete COVID-19 tests.
In addition to providing Rapid Antigen Test and real-time Reverse Transcriptase Polymerase Chain Reaction (rRT-PCR) services, the Airport Health Center in Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport starting July 5, 2021 will provide Rapid Molecular Test-RT PCR and Isothermal Rapid Molecular services. Test-NEAR which can detect the COVID-19 Virus in just +/- 45 minutes.
The Rapid Molecular Test-RT PCR and Isothermal Rapid Molecular Test-NEAR have received approval from the Ministry of Health's KKP Class I Soekarno-Hatta to be used during the Emergency PPKM.
"The vaccination center as well as Test-RT PCR and Isothermal Rapid Molecular Test-NEARS services at Soekarno-Hatta Airport are a form of APII and stakeholders in fully supporting the Java-Bali Emergency PPKM, as well as supporting prospective airplane passengers to always comply with the required health protocols, "said Muhammad Awaluddin.
