Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) today, Monday 7 June 2021, has again distributed assistance for handling COVID-19 in the Banten area.
On this occasion, AP II distributed 1 unit of VIP Rescue 4x4 WD Ambulance vehicle which is equipped with modern and complete medical facilities for handling COVID-19 and other conditions, including:
- Infusion equipment
- Oxygen cylinders, oxygen regulators, and supporting equipment
- Portable resuscitator and Portable ventilator
- Head Immobilization Spencer (head injury treatment tool)
- Defibrillator (heart rate stimulator)
- 20 pcs Hazmat shirts
The handover of the VIP ambulance assistance was carried out at the Banten Governor's Office House, and witnessed by the Director of Finance of AP II Wiweko Probojakti and the Governor of Banten Wahidin Halim.
The Governor of Banten expressed his gratitude for the support provided by AP II to the Banten Provincial Government.
"AP II provides humanitarian attention and support to Banten," said Banten Governor Wahidin Halim.
Director of Finance AP II Wiweko Probojakti, who is usually called Dodit, said that the ambulance assistance was expected to support the handling of COVID-19 in Banten.
"This 4x4 VIP Rescue Ambulance is designed to be tough to be able to provide first aid quickly in various fields and is equipped with various complete medical facilities, including to accelerate the handling of COVID-19," said Dodit.
Dodit added, "We hope that this 4x4 VIP Rescue Ambulance can strengthen the ambulance fleet of the Banten Provincial Health Service, which in the midst of this pandemic has been tirelessly handling COVID-19."
Furthermore, Dodit said that since 2020 AP II has been appointed by the Ministry of SOEs as the Regional Coordinator of the Banten Province National Disaster Task Force, which is part of 34 SOEs. The appointment of AP II as the Regional Coordinator of the Banten Province National Disaster Task Force was determined through the Decree of the Minister of SOEs Number SK-77/MBU/03/2020.
"As an effort to accelerate the handling of COVID-19 in Banten, AP II has distributed personal protective equipment [PPE], medicines, vitamins, basic necessities, and has deployed an AP2 Peduli volunteer team to natural disaster areas in the Serang, Lebak, City and Regency areas. Tangerang and South Tangerang City," said Dodit.
In February 2021, AP II also collaborated with PMI in Tangerang City and Regency and South Tangerang City to carry out blood plasma donors for COVID-19 survivors to help recover COVID-19 patients.
Dodit said various programs to accelerate the handling of COVID-19, especially in Banten, would continue to be carried out by AP II together with other SOEs in the midst of this pandemic.
Free prosthetics
In addition to providing VIP Ambulance assistance, AP II today also runs the Free Prosthetics program.
A total of 56 free prosthetic limbs were distributed to beneficiaries at the Banten Governor's Office House.
"To date, AP II and the Kick Andy Foundation have distributed 151 free prosthetic limbs for beneficiaries in Banten," explained Dodit.
The Environmental Social Responsibility (TJSL) programs run by AP II, such as free ambulances and free prosthetics, are run in accordance with the Government's Program in Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's) ISO 26000.
