Chairman of the DPR Appreciates Soekarno-Hatta Airport Stakeholders, Solid Implementing Provisions for the Elimination of Homecoming!

Jakarta - Soekarno-Hatta Airport has been well supporting the policy of eliminating homecoming since May 6, 2021.

Chairman of the Indonesian Parliament Puan Maharani also stated that all stakeholders at Soekarno-Hatta Airport were solid in carrying out their duties.

"I appreciate, thank all related agencies, the TNI / Polri, and that on an occasion that we have to be together solid, work together in anticipating the control of COVID-19, on a healthy day, God willing, tomorrow we will celebrate together, continue to carry out their duties as well as possible for the future progress of Indonesia, "said Puan Maharani.

Furthermore, Puan Maharani said that all related agencies must seriously oversee the provisions of eliminating homecoming from 6 to 17 May 2021.

"From the Ministry of Transportation's report, indeed the condition of passengers [at Soekarno-Hatta Airport] is very bad, maybe even only 10% less than usual. On this occasion, I ask all related agencies and ranks, the TNI / Polri, to seriously oversee the elimination of homecoming. "

Puan Maharani added that all agencies at Soekarno-Hatta Airport must be able to control and anticipate the backflow period on D + 2 to H + 6.

"Soekarno-Hatta Airport is an important place in controlling COVID-19," said Puan Maharani.

President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II Muhammad Awaluddin said the company as the airport operator together with all stakeholders would improve coordination and solidity in controlling and anticipating the arrival of airplane passengers at Soekarno-Hatta Airport on D + 2 and D + 6.

"AP II together with all stakeholders are committed to implementing health protocols at all times. The coordination is improved to anticipate the arrival of airplane passengers on D + 2 and H + 6. "

"The number of airplane passengers is only about 10% of the conditions before the elimination of the homecoming, because only people who are traveling are exempt from the travel ban. However, health protocols must be followed strictly and procedures must be followed, "said Muhammad Awaluddin.

As is well known, the period of eliminating homecoming is set for 6-17 May 2021. In that period, travelers who are exempted from the prohibition of cross-city / regency / provincial / state travel are travelers with urgent needs for non-travel interests.

These urgent needs are: work / official travel, visits from sick families, visits from grief of deceased family members, pregnant women who are accompanied by one family member and the interests of childbirth accompanied by a maximum of two people.
