AP II Airport seeks to contribute to preventing the spread of COVID-19

Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) today, Thursday 6 May 2021, officially opened the Air Transportation Control Post during Eid al-Fitr 1442 H at the airports managed by the company.

This post in AP II was opened virtually by the Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi, while at the same time the Minister of Transportation also opened a national level post at the Ministry of Transportation.

As is known, May 6-17, 2021, is designated as the period of eliminating homecoming. In that period, according to the COVID-19 Handling Task Force Circular Number 13 of 2021, the prohibition on cross-city / regency / provincial / country travel is exempted for travelers with urgent needs for non-travelers, namely:
- Work / business trips,
- Visit the sick family
- Visit the bereaved of family members
- Pregnant women who are accompanied by 1 family member, and the interests of accompanying childbirth are a maximum of 2 people.

Meanwhile, trans-city / regency / provincial / state travelers during the period of eliminating homecoming are required to have a written travel permit with the following conditions:
1. For employees of government agencies / ASN / BUMN employees / BUMD employees, TNI soldiers and members of the National Police: attach a print out of a written permit from an echelon II level official equipped with a wet signature / electronic signature of an echelon II level official;
2. For private employees: attach a print out of a written permit from the company leadership, which is equipped with a wet signature / electronic signature of the company leadership;
3. For informal sector workers: attach a print out of a written permit from the village head / lurah which includes the wet signature / electronic signature of the village head / lurah;
4. For non-working general public: attach a print out of a written permit from the village / lurah head which is equipped with the wet signature / electronic signature of the village / lurah head;

AP II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin said the posts at 19 AP II airports were tasked with, among other things, to carry out the function of monitoring and examining these documents or certificates.

"This Monitoring and Inspection Post is a joint command post for all stakeholders, namely the COVID-19 Handling Task Force, Airport Authorities, airlines, AP II, TNI / Polri, Local Government, Quarantine, Immigration, and Customs and Excise, which are tasked with examining travel requirements documents. for travelers who are exempt from the ban, record the criteria for people on the way, and fully coordinate to ensure the implementation of health protocols such as physical distancing and so on. "

The posts at AP II airport are also integrated and connected with the national posts at the Ministry of Transportation.

"Access to CCTV and FIDS [Flight Information Display System] at the posts at 19 AP II airports is directly connected to the posts at the Ministry of Transportation, thus strengthening supervision by regulators," said Muhammad Awaluddin.

Muhammad Awaluddin added, "All AP II directors will take turns every day to carry out their duties as the operational leader of the post, directly supervise airport operations during the prohibition or elimination of going home, ensuring that the provisions for eliminating homecoming are running optimally.

Furthermore, Muhammad Awaluddin said AP II airports wanted to contribute to preventing the spread of COVID-19 by fully carrying out the provisions of eliminating homecoming.

"The provisions for eliminating going home on the first day, May 6, 2021, run optimally at AP II airports. Air traffic at AP II airports, including Soekarno-Hatta Airport, which is the largest airport in Indonesia, has decreased by 90% compared to previous days. This indicates that the community did not travel, except in urgent circumstances. "

"AP II airports want to contribute to efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19 by implementing the provisions to eliminate homecoming properly," explained Muhammad Awaluddin.

As for the existing flights at AP II airports today, they are able to accommodate the needs of travelers with urgent needs.

A number of airlines have confirmed that they do not serve flights at AP II airports on May 6-17, 2021, as an effort to support the government regarding provisions for eliminating homecoming to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
