Provisions for Prohibition of Homecoming 6 - 17 May 2021 Apply, AP II Arrangements for These 3 Aspects at the Airport

Stakeholder collaboration is an important asset to run COVID-19 prevention regulations

Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero), the manager of 20 airports in Indonesia, has made a number of preparations to support the provisions of the ban on going home from 6 to 17 May 2021.

Provisions for the prohibition of going home are listed in the Covid-19 Handling Task Force Circular Number 13/2021 concerning the Prohibition of Eid Al-Fitr Homecoming and Control of COVID-19 during the Holy Month of Ramadan 1442 H, and the Regulation of the Minister of Transportation Number 13/2021 concerning Control of Transportation during the Eid Period. Fitri 1442 H in 2021 in the context of Preventing the Spread of COVID-19.

In accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Transportation Number 13/2021, air transportation modes that are exempted from the operational prohibition are imposed for: flights of high-ranking institutions and state guests; the operations of foreign embassies, consulates generals and consulates as well as representatives of international organizations; special flight operations for repatriation; law enforcement, order and emergency services operations; cargo operations; as well as other operational pioneering air transport operations with the permission of the Director General of Air Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation.

AP II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin said the company made arrangements on 3 aspects, namely airport personnel, airport operations and flight systems.

"AP II fully supports regulations to prevent COVID-19. Regarding the ban on going home from 6 to 17 May 2021, AP II will make arrangements on 3 aspects. "

"All AP II airports have been prepared to be able to operate resiliently [resilient operations] and quickly adapt [agility operations] which are supported by the use of technology to follow the dynamic regulations in the midst of this pandemic for the benefit of all of us," said Muhammad Awaluddin.

Personnel arrangement
AP II will arrange airport personnel or staff on duty during the prohibition period from going home 6-17 May 2021, including service and operational personnel. Personnel arrangement can be easily done by viewing various operational information live on the iPerform application which is specifically intended for internal companies.

The iPerform application has a number of features for AP II employees, including smart airport dashboards, airport overview, airport movement, official memos for each employee, to garbarata monitoring, swing gate monitoring and aircraft parking stand monitoring, baggage monitoring, tenant monitoring, and revenue reports.

"With iPerform, AP II can definitely perform personnel structuring based on operational data," said Muhammad Awaluddin.

Operational system arrangement
Soekarno-Hatta Airport, which is the largest and busiest airport in Indonesia, currently operates the Airport Operation Control Center (AOCC) building which is equipped with various modern equipment as a forum for collaboration among aviation stakeholders.

The existence of the AOCC is very important for structuring the airport's operational system as a whole before, during, and after the regulations on the prohibition of going home from 6 to 17 May 2021.

Stakeholders involved in AOCC are AP II, airlines, ground handling, Airport Authority, Customs and Excise, Immigration, Quarantine, AirNav Indonesia.

"Through the AOCC, airport stakeholders can be flexible in making operational arrangements so that Soekarno-Hatta Airport can quickly adapt to the dynamic conditions of this pandemic," said Muhammad Awaluddin.

Aviation system setup
AP II together with stakeholders will arrange the flight system at Soekarno-Hatta Airport through the application of Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM), so that aircraft movement at the airport can be optimal.

Among other things, the A-CDM can improve flight predictability and optimize operations. All stakeholders such as AP II (airport operators), airlines, AirNav Indonesia, and ground handling will share all information and data related to flight operations for proper planning.

“This arrangement through A-CDM focuses on airline operations that are exempt from flying restrictions. Every flight operation must remain efficient and effective under any conditions, whether the traffic is heavy or not, "said Muhammad Awaluddin.

Through these 3 aspects, all airports managed by AP II, which are 20 airports, will be confirmed to continue operating during the prohibition period from 6-17 May 2021 to maintain Indonesia's air connectivity and serve flights that are exempted from the homecoming ban.
