Special area
PT Angkasa Pura II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin said the implementation of the first day of using GeNose C19 at Husein Sastranegara Airport and Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin Airport went smoothly.
"The use of GeNose C19 runs smoothly at AP II airport, both technically, SOP, and compliance with health protocols. This cannot be separated from the strategy of AP II which operates a special area, or a special Airport Health Center located at the terminal as a place for implementing the use of GeNose C19. "
"To make it orderly and smooth, a special area was built with 3 main areas: the registration helpdesk, the waiting area, the breathing sampling booth area, and the area waiting for the test results to come out," explained Muhammad Awaluddin.
In the GeNose C19 usage area at both Husein Sastranegara Airport and Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport, you can see that the queues at the registration desk are running orderly, are not overcrowded, and comply with health protocols. Meanwhile, the queue waiting for breath sampling was also running in an orderly manner where seats were provided for prospective passengers.
In the waiting area, there are also officers who provide education on how to use the GeNose C19 so that prospective aircraft passengers are clearly informed about the proper and correct breath sampling procedure.
The disposal of waste in this area is carried out in accordance with established procedures. In addition, periodic disinfection processes are also carried out in all areas including the breath sampling booth.
"On the first day, there were 187 passengers on the plane who screened for COVID-19 with GeNose C19 at Husein Sastranegara Airport and 262 passengers at Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport," said Muhammad Awaluddin.
PT Angkasa Pura II estimates that at this early stage the number of GeNose C19 users will reach around 10-15% of departing passengers.
