Around 2,500 people from the PT Angkasa Pura II airport community have received the first COVID-19 vaccination

Jakarta - In line with the second phase of the national COVID-19 vaccination program, public service officers at PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) airport also received COVID-19 vaccinations.

In total, as many as 2,500 people in the AP II airport community have received the first vaccination, consisting of around 2,300 AP II employees who work in operations and frontliners, while around 200 people are employees of other institutions such as cleaners, public security, service officers, business partners. and airline employees, AirNav Indonesia employees, Pertamina employees, and so on.

On Saturday, March 13, 2021, 1,003 people were vaccinated in the AP II Airport Community at Soekarno-Hatta Airport and Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, consisting of around 900 AP II employees and 103 other stakeholders (cleaning and public security officers).

Meanwhile on the same day, vaccinations were also carried out at Husein Sastranegara Airport for 278 airport communities, consisting of 82 AP II employees, 41 airline employees, 67 ground handling employees, 22 AirNav employees, 8 Pertamina employees, and 55 employees of business partners.

President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II Muhammad Awaluddin said the smoothness of vaccination for the AP II Airport Community was thanks to the support from the government.

"Vaccination is carried out in stages for workers in AP II Airport Communities in 20 airports. We are grateful for the government's support so that the vaccination will run smoothly, "said Muhammad Awaluddin.

In total, the number of vaccine recipients who are members of the AP II Airport Community is around 20,000 people consisting of around 18,000 employees of AP II and 2,000 employees of other stakeholders at airports such as ground handling, security service providers, cleaning, airlines, and so on.

Soekarno-Hatta Airport Executive General Manager Agus Haryadi said vaccine recipients were prioritized as frontliners who met face to face with travelers as well as those on duty in airport operations.

"The priority for vaccination recipients is frontliners, among others, Aviation Security personnel, Public Security, Airport Operation Center, Passenger Service, and in the aviation safety section such as Aircraft Rescue & Fire Fighting. In line with the vaccinations being carried out, Soekarno-Hatta Airport will be stronger against COVID-19 and provide optimal services, "said Agus Haryadi.

Meanwhile, Executive General Manager of Husein Sastranegara Airport Iwan Winaya said that the implementation of the first vaccination at Husein Sastranegara Airport was completed on March 12-13, 2021.

"The first vaccination at Husein Sastranegara Airport will be carried out in two days, namely on March 12 and March 13, 2021. In the next two weeks, the second vaccination will be carried out," said Iwan Winaya.

The President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II, Muhammad Awaluddin, yesterday also saw firsthand the implementation of vaccinations at Husein Sastarengara Airport, Bandung.

The implementation of vaccination at PT Angkasa Pura II airports is part of the second phase of the national COVID-19 vaccination program, one of which is for public service workers.
