Vaccination of 11,700 people at Soekarno-Hatta Airport will start tomorrow
Jakarta - As part of a public service officer, personnel / staff at airports are vaccinated in the second phase of the national COVID-19 vaccination program launched by the government.
Until today, March 12, 2021, vaccinations have been carried out for 999 people who are members of the AP II Airport Community (consisting of employees / staff at PT Angkasa Pura II Airport and its subsidiaries, as well as frontline stakeholders, namely cleaning, security, and other services) .
The COVID-19 vaccination itself has been carried out at Soekarno-Hatta Airport (300 people); Sultan Iskandar Muda Airport (1 person); Kualanamu Airport (97 people); Sultan Syarif Kasim II Airport (51 people); Minangkabau Airport (36 people); Raja Haji Fisabilillah Airport (58 people); Sultan Thaha Airport (54 people); Depati Amir Airport (148 people); Radin Inten II Airport (50 people); Husein Sastranegara Airport (185 people); and Supadio Airport (19 people).
President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II Muhammad Awaluddin said vaccination for the AP II Airport Community could be carried out thanks to the support of the government and all stakeholders.
"We are very grateful to the central government, the local government, the Air Task Force for COVID-19 Handling, the Port Health Office of the Ministry of Health [KKP Kemenkes] and other parties for supporting the AP II Airport Community, which mainly works as frontliners at airports. PT Angkasa Pura II to get vaccinated in this second phase of the national COVID-19 vaccination program. "
"This vaccination will make airport personnel and staff more confident and stronger in facing the challenges of COVID-19 in order to maintain air connectivity in Indonesia," said Muhammad Awaluddin.
The estimated number of AP II Airport Communities that will receive vaccinations is around 20,000 people at 20 airports.
Of these, most are located at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, which is the largest and busiest airport in Indonesia.
Vaccination at Soekarno-Hatta Airport
Executive General Manager of Soekarno-Hatta Airport Agus Haryadi said that on March 13 - March 23, 2021 in the Soekarno-Hatta Airport area, around 11,700 people will be vaccinated.
"Tomorrow until the next 10 days [13 - 23 March 2021] vaccinations will be carried out on 11,700 people at Terminal 1A of Soekarno-Hatta Airport. We believe that this vaccination will make Soekarno-Hatta Airport's operations and services more optimal. Thank you to the government and stakeholders who have supported vaccination for the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Community, "said Agus Haryadi.
PT Angkasa Pura II estimates that vaccination for around 20,000 people who are members of the AP II Airport Community will be completed by the end of March 2021 or the first week of April 2021.
