Massive Strengthening GCG, PT Angkasa Pura II This Time Implementing Tax Data Integration with the Directorate General of Taxes

At the end of last year, the company also signed a partnership with the KPK regarding the whistleblowing system

Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) is increasingly massive in strengthening aspects of good corporate governance (GCG).

Today, Wednesday, March 3, 2021, the company signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Directorate General of Taxes regarding Tax Data Integration.

"The signing of the MoU between AP II and the Directorate General of Taxes is an important moment and we are grateful because it is one of the important achievements. This tax data integration will make GCG in AP II even stronger, "said President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II Muhammad Awaluddin.

For taxpayers, tax transparency is useful for reducing the burden of compliance and the risk of future examinations or disputes. Meanwhile, for the Directorate General of Taxes, data integration provides access to taxpayer financial data as well as taxpayer transaction data with third parties.

Muhammad Awaluddin said, "What AP II and the Directorate General of Tax have done is a manifestation of their commitment to supporting tax transparency in the business sector."

This tax data integration will also eliminate manual processes and input previously carried out by AP II regarding tax data so as to increase accuracy and reduce the risk of errors.

"The integration of tax data is in line with the spirit of digital transformation carried out by AP II since five years ago, where we were quite aggressive and intensive in digitizing to eliminate manual processes in business and airport operations," said Muhammad Awaluddin.

Director General of Taxes Suryo Utomo welcomed the cooperation between the DGT and PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero). Suryo said, "Data integration is part of a cooperation-based compliance strategy that emphasizes synergy and joint efforts of the authorities and taxpayers to provide mutually beneficial benefits for both parties."

Meanwhile, Director of Information Technology and Engineering at the Directorate General of Taxes Iwan Djuniardi said that the integration of tax data is one of the digital transformations in the taxation sector which is a necessity and requires cooperation from taxpayers to run well.

"Thanks to AP II, because we have a program, but if the taxpayer does not welcome it, it will be difficult," explained Iwan Djuniardi.

Whistleblowing System
The signing of the MoU with the Directorate General of Taxes further complements PT Angkasa Pura II's efforts to strengthen GCG after in December 2020 a collaboration was also signed with the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to strengthen the whistleblowing system. At that time, AP II was one of the two BUMNs that collaborated with the KPK for the first time regarding the integration of the whistleblowing system.

Collaboration with the KPK regarding the integration of an electronic whistleblowing system which is an initiative to prevent corruption practices coupled with the integration of tax data with the Directorate General of Taxes will greatly support PT Angkasa Pura II in achieving the vision of On Becoming Airport Enterprise Leader in the Region by 2024.
