Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero), which manages 19 airports in Indonesia, seeks to support strengthening the community's economy in facing the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

One of the supports made by PT Angkasa Pura II is by implementing the Labor Intensive Program, which was held for the first time at Husein Sastranegara Airport (Bandung) today, Friday 19 February 2021.

The Labor Intensive Program in Bandung empowers around 100 people from 6 urban villages around the airport to clean the grass on the main road and the 1.48 kilometer long exit of Husein Sastranegara Airport, as well as painting roadblocks in the airport public area.

Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi, Director General of Air Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation Novie Riyanto, Air Force Commander Husein Sastranegara, and President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II Muhammad Awaluddin also witnessed the Intensive Work activities at Husein Satranegara Airport.

On this occasion, the Minister of Transportation expressed his appreciation because aviation stakeholders have participated in organizing labor-intensive activities that involve the community in the context of accelerating the National Economic Recovery (PEN) in the midst of a pandemic.

President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II Muhammad Awaluddin said that the company held the Solid Work for the purpose of helping people around the airport in the midst of this pandemic by providing temporary jobs.

"We must face the challenges together in this difficult period. We hope that the Labor Intensive Program at Husein Sastranegara Airport can help the surrounding community to earn income." In addition, this program also aims to make facilities and infrastructure at the airport tidier and ready in the middle of this rainy season. "

"Synergy in the aviation sector, in accordance with the direction of the Minister of Transportation, must always be improved to support the community in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic," said Muhammad Awaluddin.

Furthermore, Muhammad Awaluddin said PT Angkasa Pura II was preparing to hold a Labor Intensive Program at other airports managed by the company.

"The implementation of the Labor Intensive Program at Husein Sastranegara Airport is the first time PT Angkasa Pura II has done it. We are currently preparing to hold a similar program at other airports, "said Muhammad Awaluddin.
