Jakarta - The operations of PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) airports generally run smoothly during the 2021 Chinese New Year holiday period.
Facilities and services can be implemented properly, including the Airport Health Center which is the location for taking the COVID-19 test, be it a rapid antigen test or a PCR test.
The health program is also implemented properly, where at every checkpoint in the flow of departure and arrival of airplane passengers, physical distancing and the mandatory use of masks are always maintained.
In line with this, flights ran smoothly on the long holiday last weekend.
"We are grateful to airplane passengers, airport visitors, staff, and all stakeholders at the airport who have maintained the smooth operation of airports and flights while still implementing health protocols. During the long holiday period last weekend, in general the airport and flight operations ran smoothly, ”said President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II Muhammad Awaluddin.
Muhammad Awaluddin added, "The peak flow of departures on February 11 and the peak flow of arrivals on February 14 went well. As for the Chinese New Year holiday period yesterday, Banyuwangi Airport, East Java was closed, as a result of the eruption of Mount Raung. "
The closure of Banyuwangi Airport for the sake of flight safety factors was carried out on February 7-13, 2021. Then, on February 14, 2021, the airport was reopened to serve flights.

The smoothness of the flight can also be seen from the level of on-time performance of flights at Soekarno-Hatta Airport which reached 93.27% at the peak of the arrival flow of 14 February 2021.
