Travelers Need to Know, These Are the Latest Requirements for Travel by Airplane at AP II Airport According to the Circular of the Ministry of Transportation and the COVID-19 Handling Task Force

Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) informed that the company's airports starting February 9, 2021 are running the latest requirements for travel by plane as stated in the circular letter of the Ministry of Transportation.

The circular letter referred to is the SE of the Ministry of Transportation Number 19/2021 concerning Guidelines for the Implementation of Domestic Travel by Air Transportation during the COVID-19 Pandemic, and SE of the Ministry of Transportation Number 21/2021 concerning Guidelines for International Travel by Air Transportation during the COVID-19 Pandemic. .

The two SEs of the Ministry of Transportation are in accordance with SE Task Force for Handling COVID-19 Number 7/2021, SE Task Force for Handling COVID-19 Number 8/2021, and SE Task Force for Handling COVID-19 Number 9/2021.

President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) Muhammad Awaluddin said the company is collaborating with other stakeholders at the airport to ensure the implementation of this latest flight requirement.

"The conditions for travel by plane are valid from 9 February 2021 until an undetermined time. We collaborate closely with all stakeholders at the airport to support the smooth implementation of this circular at all AP II airports. "

"Soekarno-Hatta Airport will be the main focus, because the position of this airport is very vital in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, which is the center of the arrival of all international flights and is also an anchor airport for domestic flights," said Muhammad Awaluddin.

As for based on a circular from the Ministry of Transportation, the flight requirements that will take effect from 9 February 2021 are as follows:

Domestic Routes
- Prospective airplane passengers must show a certificate of negative RT-PCR test results, the samples taken within 2x24 hours or negative antigen rapid tests, the samples taken within 1x24 hours before departure for flights to Bali.

- In addition to flights to Bali, prospective airplane passengers must show a certificate of negative RT-PCR test results, the samples taken within a maximum period of 3x24 hours or negative results from rapid antigen tests, the samples taken within a maximum period of 2x24 hours before departure.

- This COVID-19 test requirement does not apply to pioneer flights, flights in 3T (disadvantaged, frontier, outermost) areas, or passengers of children under 5 years of age.

- During the flight with a duration of less than 2 hours, airplane passengers are not allowed to eat and drink, except for passengers who are obliged to consume medicines for medical purposes which otherwise may endanger safety and health

International routes
- Indonesian citizens and foreigners flying to the territory of Indonesia must bring a negative RT-PCR test result in the country of origin whose samples were taken within a maximum period of 3x24 hours before departure

- Foreigners who may enter Indonesia are:
a. Visa and residence permit holders in the adaptation period for new habits;
b. In accordance with the Travel Corridor Arrangement (TCA) scheme;
c. Get special consideration / permission from the Ministry / Agency.

- Upon arrival in Indonesia, Indonesian citizens and foreigners are subjected to a RT-PCR retest and are required to undergo a 5x24 hour quarantine.
For Indonesian citizens who are Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI), students / students, and government employees returning from a foreign official trip, quarantine is carried out at Wisma Pademangan at the expense of the government.
Meanwhile, for Indonesian citizens outside the above criteria, and for foreigners including foreign diplomats outside the head of foreign representatives, quarantine is carried out at quarantine accommodation places that have been certified by the Ministry of Health at their own expense.

- After the 5x24 hour quarantine, RT-PCR is restarted.

Muhammad Awaluddin said PT Angkasa Pura II would support travelers to be able to fulfill the flight requirements.

"We provide Airport Health Center facilities as a place for conducting COVID-19 tests, be it a rapid antigen test or RT-PCR for prospective aircraft passengers. At Soekarno-Hatta Airport, AP II also coordinates with airlines every day to support the smooth process of getting to the quarantine location for newly arrived international plane passengers, "said Muhammad Awaluddin.
