AP II Informs the Applicability of Domestic and International Routes Air Travel Requirements

Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) informed that airplane passengers are still required to meet the requirements to be able to travel domestically and internationally in Indonesia.

In accordance with the Circular of the Ministry of Transportation Number SE 3 of 2021 concerning Instructions for Implementing Domestic Trips with Air Transportation during the Pandemic Period, every airplane passenger must meet a number of requirements, including:

1. Show a certificate of negative RT-PCR test results which are still valid 2 x 24 hours or negative results of the rapid antigen tests that are still valid 1 x 24 hours before departure for Denpasar, Bali.

2. Show a certificate of negative RT-PCR test results that are still valid 3 x 24 hours or negative results of the rapid antigen tests that are still valid 2 x 24 hours for flights to and from areas other than Denpasar, Bali.

Meanwhile, in accordance with the COVID-19 Handling Task Force Circular Number 6 of 2021 concerning International Travel Health Protocol during the COVID-19 Pandemic, it is stated that foreign citizens (WNA) are not allowed to enter Indonesia except for diplomatic visa and service visa holders who are related to official visits of foreign officials at the material level and above. Foreigners are also still allowed to enter Indonesia, for:

1. Holders of diplomatic residence permits and official residence permits
2. Holders of limited stay permit (KITAS) and permanent residence permit (KITAP)
3. Foreigners with special considerations and permission in writing from the Ministry / Agency.

Meanwhile, every Indonesian citizen who returns to the country is still allowed to enter Indonesia.

Every foreigner and Indonesian citizen who is allowed to enter Indonesia must also carry an RT-PCR certificate which is valid a maximum of 3 x 24 hours before departure. Upon arrival in Indonesia, an RT-PCR retest will be carried out and travelers are required to undergo a 5-day quarantine at a designated location.

The regulations governing domestic travel (SE Kemenhub Number SE 3/2021) and those regulating international travel (SE Task Force for COVID-19 Handling Number 6 Year 2021) will be in effect until February 8, 2021. The regulations that apply will then be conveyed at the next opportunity .

President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) Muhammad Awaluddin said the two regulations were enforced in order to realize healthy flights amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

"In order for aviation to continue to contribute optimally in supporting community activities and contributing to economic growth, operations must comply with the health protocol set by the Ministry of Transportation and the COVID-19 Handling Task Force," said Muhammad Awaluddin.

Furthermore, Muhammad Awaluddin said that national aviation stakeholders including PT Angkasa Pura II were currently able to adapt to the dynamic situation and regulations / regulations in the midst of a pandemic relatively quickly, compared to when the pandemic hit in the first quarter of 2020.

However, continued Muhammad Awaluddin, PT Angkasa Pura II also identified and anticipated the 3 main challenges facing the national aviation sector this year, namely:

1. Aviation market in the midst of a pandemic
PT Angkasa Pura II believes that the recovery of the domestic route market will continue this year, meanwhile for international routes it is highly dependent on the latest conditions and government policies in each country.

2. Operational scheme
This pandemic situation creates additional efforts from aviation stakeholders to ensure health aspects for travelers, employees and all parties. Although this makes operational procedures more complex, stakeholders understand the importance of the health aspect. In line with that, optimization must be carried out in every line so that operations can continue to run smoothly.

3. Financial Aspects
The financial aspect of aviation stakeholders will grow this year compared to last year. However, it is estimated that it is still below 2019 when the world has not yet been hit by the COVID-19 pandemic.
