Jakarta - International route passengers, both Indonesian citizens and foreigners arriving in Indonesia starting December 28, 2020, are required to undergo quarantine for 5 days in advance at a predetermined location.

This is in accordance with the Addendum to Circular Letter Number 03 of 2020 issued by the COVID-19 Handling Task Force.

Yesterday, December 29, 2020, the Chairperson of the COVID-19 Handling Task Force, Lt. Gen. Doni Monardo, held a coordination meeting at Terminal 3 regarding this matter.

Soekarno-Hatta Airport Executive General Manager Agus Haryadi said the handling of international route passenger arrivals was going well.

Agus Haryadi added that handling of international route passenger arrivals related to the quarantine requirement was carried out by taking into account the entire arrival process involving various agencies.

"The handling is carried out since passengers on international routes arrive at the Terminal 3 garbarata until they take the bus to the designated quarantine location. This requires intensive coordination, because it involves a number of agencies including PT Angkasa Pura II as the airport operator, ground handling, airlines, KKP Ministry of Health, Immigration, Customs and Excise, bus operators delivering to quarantine locations, to hotel operators. "

"Coordination is carried out intensively at any time, by also sharing various data regarding services, facilities, and the number of passengers to be handled. Through this intensive coordination, handling of international route passengers from the time they landed until they were delivered to the quarantine location on December 30, 2020 went smoothly, "said Agus Haryadi.

Chairperson of the COVID-19 Handling Air Task Force Colonel Pas M.A Silaban (TNI AU) said the quarantine location for these passengers was set at a number of hotels.

"The handling of international passenger arrivals at Soekarno-Hatta Airport is running smoothly. All 496 passengers were escorted by 21 buses to the quarantine locations, namely 9 hotels including Wisma Atlet Pademangan. We always monitor the latest developments so that the quarantine process for passengers on international routes who have just arrived at Soekarno-Hatta Airport runs smoothly, "explained M.A Silaban.

Darmawali Handoko said that passengers on international routes will also be checked for the PCR test results which are still valid when they arrive at the airport, and later at the quarantine location, PCR tests will be carried out twice.
