There are two Airport Health Center locations at the airport
Jakarta - Husein Sastranegara Airport is the main choice for West Java residents who wish to travel by plane during the Christmas and New Year 2020/2021 transportation period.
In line with this, the focus of PT Angkasa Pura II and other stakeholders at Husein Sastranegara Airport is related to the implementation of health protocols, in addition to security, safety and service aspects.
"This airport is an alternative for residents of Bandung and West Java who wish to travel by plane, and the interest is still quite high. Therefore, we ensure that the health protocol is implemented properly, ”said President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II Muhammad Awaluddin when reviewing the operations of Husein Sastranegara Airport, Sunday, December 27, 2020.
Muhammad Awaluddin added, "Health protocols that are the focus at Husein Sastranegara Airport include ensuring aircraft passengers meet the COVID-19 test requirements before flying, and ensuring the implementation of physical distancing, especially regarding the number of aircraft passengers in the airport's busy time period (PWS)."
As an effort to support prospective aircraft passengers meeting the requirements for the COVID-19 test, Husein Sastranegara Airport operates an Airport Health Center in two locations.
Executive General Manager of Husein Sastranegara Airport R. Iwan Winaya said this requirement is non-negotiable.
"Periodically we inform you about the implementation of handling COVID-19, including policies related to flight requirements documents, namely the results of the rapid antigen test, or PCR test for certain routes, for example to Bali. This is something that cannot be negotiated and must be obeyed, ”said Iwan Winaya.
Iwan Winaya revealed that the Husein Sastranegara Airport Health Center has conducted antigen testing on around 2,000 people. From this amount, it is known that the positivity rate is below 1%.
"The initial detection function is working, so it identifies a positivity rate below 1%. For prospective aircraft passengers who have tested at the Airport Health Center and the results are positive, further handling is carried out in coordination with the Bandung City Health Office, and it is confirmed that the person concerned cannot fly, "said Iwan Winaya.
In the Christmas and New Year 2020/2021 transportation period, to be precise since December 18, 2020, flight traffic at Husein Sastranegara Airport ranges from 24-30 flights per day with the number of aircraft passengers reaching around 26,000 people / day.
Husein Sastranegara Airport is now also preparing to anticipate the flow of homecoming for the New Year 2021 period, whose peak is expected to be on December 30 - 31, 2020.
In order for the departure process to remain smooth, including at the peak of the homecoming flow, PT Angkasa Pura II appealed to prospective aircraft passengers to conduct a COVID-19 test first at a health facility outside the airport. If you still want to do the test at the airport, it is advisable to arrive 4 hours earlier before the scheduled departure.
