To support the implementation of the COVID-19 test for the wider community, Airport Health Center Terminal 1 Soekarno-Hatta Airport opens to the public starting December 27

26 Dec 2020

Jakarta - Soekarno-Hatta Airport currently operates 8 Airport Health Centers to carry out COVID-19 tests, both rapid antigen tests and PCR tests.

Airport Health Center is operated by competent partners, namely Kimia Farma and Indofarma. The goal of the Airport Health Center is to support healthy flights and help potential airplane passengers meet health protocols in the midst of a pandemic.

On December 18-24, 2020, which coincides with the Christmas and New Year 2020/2021 transportation, prospective aircraft passengers who carry out an antigen rapid test at the Airport Health Center at Soekarno-Hatta Airport reach around 40,000 potential passengers.

Soekarno-Hatta Airport Executive General Manager Agus Haryadi said, "The testing figure is quite high, where in just 7 days we have tested around 40,000 potential airplane passengers at Soekarno-Hatta Airport. And, what is quite important is that the test runs smoothly and does not interfere with flight schedules. "

“The progress of the COVID-19 test at Soekarno-Hatta Airport is because PT Angkasa Pura II has succeeded in distributing the test to 8 service points or it is not concentrated only at certain points. This distribution can be done with the existence of alternative services, namely pre-order service, drive thru service and walk in service. In other words, currently Airport Health Center operations and services have become more established and reliable, "Agus Haryadi explained.

Open to the public
In line with the increasingly reliable Airport Health Center at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, starting on Sunday 27 December, PT Angkasa Pura II opens opportunities for the general public to be able to carry out a special COVID-19 test at Airport Health Center Terminal 1 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

The COVID-19 test service at Airport Health Center Terminal 1 for the general public is available for walk-in service (24 hours) and drive-through service (08.00 - 20.00), for rapid antigen test (IDR 200,000) and PCR test (IDR 800,000) ).

Director of Commercial PT Angkasa Pura Solusi Yundriati Erdani said the capacity per day of Airport Health Center Terminal 1 for the general public is 600 - 700 people for the walk-in service test, and 150 people for the drive-thru test.

PT Angkasa Pura Solusi is a subsidiary of PT Angkasa Pura II which carries out operational supervision of the Airport Health Center.

"Previously, all Airport Health Centers were only used for prospective airplane passengers who have flight tickets. Starting tomorrow, specifically the Airport Health Center at Terminal 1 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport will open opportunities for the general public to test for COVID-19, ”explained Yundriati Erdani.

PT Angkasa Pura II hopes that the Airport Health Center Terminal 1 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport, which opens this service to the public, can support the increasing number of COVID-19 testing, especially in the area around the airport.

"The Airport Health Center seeks to support the implementation of the COVID-19 test for the general public around the airport. On the other hand, we are also optimistic that this policy will not interfere with the implementation of the COVID-19 test for prospective aircraft passengers, "said Yundriati Erdani.

If the Airport Health Center in Terminal 1 opens services for the general public, there are still 6 Airport Health Center points at Soekarno-Hatta Airport specifically for prospective aircraft passengers to carry out a COVID-19 test.
