PT Angkasa Pura II inaugurates Kampung Airport and distributes free glasses for school children
Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) in collaboration with the Kick Andy Foundation is again distributing free prosthetic limbs and free reading glasses for school children.
This program is a form of concern for persons with disabilities and people with vision problems in school children.
"PT Angkasa Pura II seeks to support the daily activities of persons with disabilities and people with visual impairments. We are grateful to the Kick Andy Foundation who have jointly distributed the aid, ”explained PT Angkasa Pura II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin.
In this joint program, PT Angkasa Pura II handed over a nominal aid of Rp1.206 billion to the Kick Andy Foundation to be used to provide free prosthetic assistance and reading glasses.
As for today, Monday, December 7, 2020, PT Angkasa Pura II and Kick Andy Foundation signed a memorandum of understanding to discuss in more detail the number of prosthetic limbs and glasses that will be distributed along with the areas for distributing the aid.
"As a state-owned company, PT Angkasa Pura II is obliged to fulfill the 4 pillars of the Sustainable Development Goals, namely the Social Pillar, the Economic Pillar, the Environment Pillar and the Law Pillar. The free prosthetic leg and free glasses program is an effort to support the fulfillment of the 4 pillars, ”added Muhammad Awaluddin.
The head of the Kick Andy Foundation, Andy F. Noya, said that since the 1000 Free Fake Legs Program was launched in 2018, the distribution of prosthetic limbs has been carried out throughout Indonesia.
"We are grateful to PT Angkasa Pura II, which since 2017 has helped with the distribution of free legs for people with disabilities, free glasses, and free cataract surgery," said Andy F. Noya.
Meanwhile, since 2017, PT Angkasa Pura II has collaborated with the Kick Andy Foundation with a total value of around IDR 3.5 billion for the distribution of 1,152 prosthetic limbs, 2,380 glasses and 93 cataract operations spread across various regions in Indonesia.
Kampung Airport
PT Angkasa Pura II and Kick Andy Foundation today also inaugurated Kampung Airport which is located in the area around Soekarno-Hatta Airport, namely in Kampung Rawa Lini RT 02 / RW 08 Teluknaga Village, Tangerang Regency.
This village under the guidance of PT Angkasa Pura II began with local community cooperation activities on August 11, 2019, so that there is a desire for the environment to be beautiful, beautiful, clean and healthy and to increase the empowerment of human resources. Then, was born Kampun Airport which stands for Asri, Beautiful, Friendly, Caring, Optimistic, Religious and Orderly.
The programs in Kampung Airport are: Education Independence (library, computer courses, English language courses, scouts and other organizations); then Economic Independence (home plants, home farms, UKM centers, handicraft centers); and Health Independence (live pharmacy, free clinic, waste processing, places of worship, and so on).
PT Angkasa Pura II and the Kick Andy Foundation also announced a collaboration in supporting coconut coir waste craftsmen to produce handicrafts that have artistic and use value, which are located in Deli Serdang Regency.
