The Company develops human resources in the aspects of people, organization and culture


Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) carries out Transformation 2.0 in 2020-2024 to aim for a position as the market leader for airport operators in ASEAN.

Transformation 2.0 is a continuation of Transformation 1.0 which was run in 2016 - 2020.

In the two transformation programs, the company focuses on developing Business & Portfolios, Infrastructure & Operations, and Human Capital.

President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II Muhammad Awaluddin said that the purpose of carrying out Transformation 1.0 and Transformation 2.0 is to make the company and the airports it manages ready to face the Industrial 4.0 era with various technology-based facilities and services, to become the leader of airport operators in ASEAN.

In line with that, continued Muhammad Awaluddin, the most important factor in transformation is the development of Human Resources / HR (Human Capital) who understands digitization and technology.

"HR is the most important factor. Without human resources who are incompetent or do not understand digitalization and technology, especially in the Industrial 4.0 era, the transformation of PT Angkasa Pura II will not be successful. Therefore, we are carrying out Human Capital Transformation to form HR that is Digital Savvy and Tech Savvy, as well as creative and innovative HR [Innovative Based Human Capital], "explained Muhammad Awaluddin.

In order to achieve this, PT Angkasa Pura II carried out a transformation in HR development, which focuses on 3 aspects, namely the development of people, organization and work culture.

People
The development of the people aspect aims to create digital talent at PT Angkasa Pura II.

"The development of the people aspect is currently being carried out to turn employees into digital talents and competent in implementing the smart airport concept. This program is running well, supported by the composition of AP II employees, 70% of whom are millennials, in which age understands technology development very well, "said Muhammad Awaluddin.

Organization
Meanwhile, developments in the organizational aspect are carried out so that employees are able to maintain company operations, including when facing challenging periods such as the COVID-19 pandemic.

In line with this, PT Angkasa Pura II fosters a digital work pattern or Digital Ways of Working.

"Through Digital Ways of Working, PT Angkasa Pura II has an organization that can be adaptive and agile or called an agility organization, so that we can anticipate various rapid changes," explained Muhammad Awaluddin.

Following the creation of a digital work pattern, employees have implemented the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) concept to be more productive and faster.

Each employee of PT Angkasa Pura II, who has implemented Digital Ways of Working and Bring Your Own Device, then synergizes and is connected to the internal iPerform application.

The iPerform application is a platform for employees to manage activities or various internal activities in order to maintain the operations of the company and the airports it manages.

Culture
Furthermore, Human Capital development is also carried out on aspects of work culture that lead to a digital work culture.

In order to ensure the achievement of the target of realizing a digital work culture, since 2018 the company has measured the Digital Culture Index which includes the Digital Essential Index, Digital Readiness Index and Digital Performance Index.

This measurement is to determine the extent to which the company's HR position is able to carry out digital transformation, where the measurement results are used to determine the next stage of transformation.

In 2018 and 2019, Angkasa Pura II Group's Digital Culture Index is at a level above 8 on a scale of 1 - 10.

With human resources who are ready to face the Industrial Revolution 4.0, PT Angkasa Pura II can provide advanced technology-based services and facilities such as robotics, Internet of Things (IoT), unmanned transportation, to create Airport Big Data for better services.

Human resource development in Transformation 2.0 is also to support the application of the Leading Digital concept, namely efforts to strengthen PT Angkasa Pura II through digitizing all aspects of services, operations and business.
