Latest news about PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero)
Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) introduced the Transformation 2.0 program which will be run in 2020-2024 to become the market leader for airport operators in ASEAN.
This program is a continuation of Transformation 1.0 which was implemented throughout 2016 - 2020.
One of the focuses in the two transformation programs is the development of the Infrastructure & Operation System aspects, as well as Business & Portfolio and Human Capital.
President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II Muhammad Awaluddin said that the development of the Infrastructure & Operation System aspects of Transformation 2.0 leads to the implementation of modern technology (advanced technology).
"PT Angkasa Pura II embodies the concept of technology-based company transformation or as we know it as" Turning Technology into Corporate Transformation "to present an integrated digital ecosystem in airport operations."
"The application of this concept is one of our ways to become the market leader for airport operators in ASEAN [On Becoming Airport Enterprise Leader in The Region]," said Muhammad Awaluddin.
In applying advanced technology, AP II chose Soekarno-Hatta Airport as a pilot project.
Soekarno-Hatta Airport is the largest and busiest airport in Indonesia which has the capacity and capability to implement technological innovation and digital acceleration to improve services to travelers.
"One of the applications of advanced technology that is very likely to be implemented at Soekarno-Hatta Airport is related to unmanned transportation on the Skytrain, which is a mode of connection between terminals."
“The Skytrain is now ready to operate unmanned because the existing technology allows for that. The implementation of unmanned mode will also be developed in other means of transportation, "explained Muhammad Awaluddin.
Apart from unmaned transportation, the facilities that will be developed to improve the journey of the traveler are robotic airport services. Currently, the robotic airport services that have been operated at Soekarno-Hatta Airport are such as the robotic scrubber drier in Terminal 3.
The application of robotic airport services in the future could be related to providing complete information for travelers regarding departure gates, flight schedules, areas they want to go to and so on.
"Terminal 4 which will be built at Soekarno-Hatta Airport also carries the concept of smart mobility, smart security and smart environment. Terminal 4 will be the most sophisticated aircraft passenger terminal in Indonesia, "said Muhammad Awaluddin.
Airport Platform Integrator
In Transformation 2.0, AP II also carries out digital acceleration to apply the airport platform integrator concept so that operations at airports become ecosystem-based operations.
Currently, PT. Angkasa Pura II focuses on developing 3 digital platforms known as DROID Platform: INAirports, iPerform and Smart ACDM.
Development continues to be carried out on the INAirports application, which is an airport service ecosystem platform for customers / travelers. With the tagline "Airport in Your Hand", this application provides travelers with information and services regarding AP II airports by simply opening the gadget.
The Company has also further refined the iPerform internal application, which is a platform for real-time monitoring of airport operations and other information to facilitate employee work in all units.
AP II also pioneered the Airport Operation Control Center (AOCC) at Soekarno-Hatta Airport as a platform for integrating external ecosystems to implement Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM). This platform is known as Smart A-CDM.
"A-CDM was introduced in 2020 to integrate airport operators [PT Angkasa Pura II], flight navigation service providers [AirNav Indonesia], airlines, ground handling service providers and other stakeholders so that flight efficiency and effectiveness can increase," explained Muhammad Awaluddin.
In A-CDM, all parties can share data so that they can quickly synchronize operational data such as flight information, aircraft parking plans, departure gates, flight plans, number of passengers, target flight times, runway capacity, and so on.
The development of the Infrastructure & System Operation aspects in Transformation 2.0 as a whole makes Soekarno-Hatta Airport a Digital Aeroplex and supports PT Angkasa Pura II to become the market leader for airport operators in ASEAN.
