Health Protocol is Strictly Imposed in the Middle of a Pandemic, Passenger Movement at AP II Airport Reaches New Psychological Figures of 30.04 Million People!

Jakarta - The number of aircraft passengers at PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) airports has reached a new psychological figure of over 30 million people.

The cumulative total throughout this year on a year-to-date basis or on January 1 - November 7 2020, the number of passengers reached 30.04 million people.

Along with that, the number of aircraft movements was recorded at 340,416 flights and 561.27 million kilograms of cargo.

President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II Muhammad Awaluddin said the number of passengers as of November 7 was quite high considering the heavy travels this year were due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"In the midst of this hard hit from COVID-19, PT Angkasa Pura II and stakeholders remain committed to operating the airport with operations and services according to the standards set by regulators, coupled with health protocols to prevent COVID-19 and various other procedures, such as those related to immigration and customs."

"These efforts make people feel confident about their activities and make flights from PT Angkasa Pura II airports. Slowly, the number of passengers at 19 airports has increased until now it has passed the psychological figure of 30 million passengers, ”said Muhammad Awaluddin.
