The movement of aircraft at Soekarno-Hatta Airport touched a new psychological number of 600 flights / day in early November

In the same month, the top 5 airlines carrying passengers on international routes were Garuda Indonesia (12,020 people), Qatar Airways (9,427 people), Emirates (8,757 people), Turkish Airlines (5,494 people) and China Airlines (4,948 people).

The busiest international routes in October 2020 were from and to Doha (9,427 people), Dubai (8,757 people), Taipei (6,281 people), Seoul (5,884 people) and Istanbul (5,494 people).

Meanwhile, in September 2020 the busiest routes were from and to Doha (9,074 people), Dubai (6,456 people), Taipei (5,278 people), Seoul (5,259 people) and Kuala Lumpur (4,913 people).

When viewed, the total number of passengers on the 5 busiest routes in October 2020 was 35,843 people, an increase of 13.56% compared to the number of passengers on the 5 busiest routes in September 2020.

President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) Muhammad Awaluddin said that international flights this year in the midst of a pandemic were dominated by Indonesian repatriated flights and logistical transportation.

"International flights in Indonesia, currently in the midst of a pandemic, may be said to be focused at Soekarno-Hatta Airport for the benefit of returning Indonesian citizens, logistics transportation, official travel, diplomatic and so on. In line with that, PT Angkasa Pura II ensures the smooth running of every operation at Soekarno-Hatta Airport in order to support flights and maintain Indonesia's international connectivity. "

“Soekarno-Hatta Airport is currently also supporting the Travel Corridor Arrangement [TCA] between Indonesia and 4 countries, namely the United Arab Emirates, South Korea, China and Singapore. The implementation of this TCA is able to increase the number of passengers but it is still carried out with supervision and implementation of health protocols in the midst of a pandemic, "said Muhammad Awaluddin.

In the midst of this pandemic, the operational process for the arrival of international passengers at Soekarno-Hatta Airport refers to the Regulation of the Minister of Law and Human Rights Number 26/2020 concerning Visas and Stay Permits during the New Habit Adaptation Period.

"PT Angkasa Pura II and stakeholders such as the Port Health Office of the Ministry of Health [KKP Kemenkes] and Immigration make preparations, prepare facilities and establish procedures for the arrival of passengers to meet the provisions in Permenkumham No. 26/2020. The same preparations were also made to support the implementation of the TCA, "said Muhammad Awaluddin.

Flights in early November
Meanwhile, on 1 - 3 November 2020, Soekarno-Hatta Airport also recorded the number of flights forming a new psychological figure.

The number of domestic flights plus international routes on November 1 reached 684 flights, then on November 2 there were 622 flights, then on November 3 there were 608 flights.

"Flights at Soekarno-Hatta Airport for three consecutive days in early November have formed a new psychological figure of 600 flights / day, passing the previous number of 500 flights / day. We hope that this trend will continue to increase until the end of the year, ”said Muhammad Awaluddin.

Soekarno-Hatta Airport and other PT Angkasa Pura II airports are currently implementing health protocols through Biosafety and Biosecurity Management to maintain public trust in the national aviation sector.
