The song Indonesia Raya was played and sirens sounded simultaneously at 19 airports


Jakarta - Commemorating the 75th Dirgahayu Indonesia, all airports of PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) invite travelers and airport staff to pause all activities and take a perfect attitude right at 10.17 WIB today, August 17, 2020.

All over the airport, the song Indonesia Raya is also echoed when travelers and airport staff take the perfect attitude.

"We hope that by temporarily stopping all activities at 10.17 WIB it can become a momentum for travelers and airport staff, starting from PT Angkasa Pura II personnel, company partners, tenants, visitors, TNI / Polri and anyone at the airport to be able to remember services of the heroes who fight for independence for Indonesia, "said President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) Muhammad Awaluddin.

At Soekarno-Hatta Airport, a perfect attitude with standing followed by travelers and airport staff from the check-in area to the boarding lounge. The same is seen at other PT Angkasa Pura II airports.

PT Angkasa Pura II Director of Operation and Service Muhamad Wasid said that all of the company's branch offices that manage 19 airports also sounded sirens simultaneously to commemorate August 17.

"We believe that the 75th anniversary of Indonesia's Dirgahayu can enable all members of the national aviation sector, as well as the wider community, to strengthen unity in facing the challenges caused by the global pandemic COVID-19," said Muhamad Wasid.

The airports currently managed by PT Angkasa Pura II are Soekarno-Hatta (Tangerang), Halim Perdanakusuma (Jakarta), Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II (Palembang), Kualanamu (Deli Serdang), Sultan Syarif Kasim II (Pekanbaru), Silangit (Tapanuli North).

Then, Raja Haji Fisabilillah (Tanjung Pinang), Supadio (Pontianak), Banyuwangi, Radin Inten II (Lampung), Husein Sastranegara (Bandung), Depati Amir (Pangkalpinang), Sultan Thaha (Jambi), HAS Hanandjoeddin (Belitung), Tjilik Riwut (Palangkaraya) and Kertajati (Majalengka), Fatmawati Soekarno (Bengkulu), Sultan Iskandar Muda (Aceh) and Minangkabau (Padang).
