The Minister of BUMN and the Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs signed an MoU to support the development of MSMEs


Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) is committed to supporting the development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) which are the backbone of the Indonesian economy.

As for yesterday, August 14, 2020, BUMN Minister Erick Thohir and Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs Teten Masduki signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) regarding the Development and Development of Cooperatives and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. The signing was also attended by President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II Muhammad Awaluddin and several other CEOs of BUMN.

In his remarks, Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs Teten Masduki said that PT Angkasa Pura II airports are expected to support the expansion of marketing access for MSME products by providing cheaper business space.

In line with this, BUMN Minister Erick Thohir said airport operators have made preparations to support this.

"Since the beginning, for the role of UKM at the airport, I called Pak Awaluddin [President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II]. So what Pak Teten said was the same as my conversation with Pak Awaluddin, "explained the Minister of BUMN.

PT Angkasa Pura II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin said the company would provide business space support for MSMEs with 50% cheaper rental rates than normal costs.

"After the MoU is signed by the Minister of BUMN and the Minister of Cooperatives & SMEs, the next step is that there will be an MoU between PT Angkasa Pura II and the Ministry of Cooperatives & SMEs to discuss in more detail about the commercial area or business space for MSMEs at PT Angkasa Pura II airports. , "Said Muhammad Awaluddin.

"We have prepared nearly 100 business spaces for MSMEs at 19 airports. The special rental value for MSMEs is 50% of the normal cost. The other points will be discussed in more detail after the MoU was made between PT Angkasa Pura II and the Ministry of Cooperatives & Small and Medium Enterprises, "explained Muhammad Awaluddin.

Nearly 100 business spaces have been prepared for MSMEs, including at Soekarno-Hatta and Kualanamu Airport (Deli Serdang).

Capex to UMKM
On the same occasion, Minister of BUMN Erick Thohir said that the Ministry of BUMN in the near future will launch the PaDi (Digital Market) program to support MSMEs so that they can participate in the procurement of BUMN capital expenditures for a number of job categories with a value of Rp250 million to Rp14 billion.

"We will launch the PaDi program for MSMEs where this program is very real because we provide opportunities for MSMEs to absorb capex rather than BUMN. We start from 8 types of work, whether catering, heavy equipment and others, "explained the Minister of BUMN.

President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II Muhammad Awaluddin said the company fully supports the PaDi program at the Ministry of BUMN.

"The job tender of Rp. 250 million to Rp. 14 billion will move the portion to MSMEs. We will arrange which types of work are in accordance with the PaDi program of the Ministry of BUMN, which can be transferred to MSME actors, "explained Muhammad Awaluddin.

Meanwhile, PT Angkasa Pura II currently manages Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Tangerang), Halim Perdanakusuma (Jakarta), Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II (Palembang), Kualanamu (Deli Serdang), Sultan Syarif Kasim II (Pekanbaru), Silangit (North Tapanuli).

Then, Raja Haji Fisabilillah (Tanjung Pinang), Supadio (Pontianak), Banyuwangi, Radin Inten II (Lampung), Husein Sastranegara (Bandung), Depati Amir (Pangkalpinang), Sultan Thaha (Jambi), HAS Hanandjoeddin (Belitung), Tjilik Riwut (Palangkaraya) and Kertajati (Majalengka), Fatmawati Soekarno (Bengkulu), Sultan Iskandar Muda (Aceh) and Minangkabau (Padang).
