"We monitor the extent to which the procedure is implemented. In fact, health protocols are run properly and efficiently at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, "said Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi.
In the midst of this pandemic, a traveler at Soekarno-Hatta Airport must carry out procedures that refer to:
1. Circular No. 07/2020 concerning Criteria and Requirements for People's Travel in the Adaptation Period of New Habits Towards a COVID-19 Productive and Safe Society, published by the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19.
2. Minister of Transportation Regulation No. 41/2020 concerning Amendment to the Regulation of the Minister of Transportation Number PM 18/2020 concerning Transportation Control in the Context of Preventing the Spread of COVID-19.
3. Circular of the Minister of Transportation No. 13/2020 concerning Air Transportation Operations in the Period of Productive and Safe Activities from COVID-19.
Director General of Civil Aviation of the Ministry of Transportation, Novie Riyanto, said that every stakeholder in the aviation sector must support the fulfillment of procedures established in the midst of a pandemic in order to foster public confidence.
"We will see how far this regulation is fulfilled by passengers, operators, and if all these are fulfilled then all parties will believe. The interest in using air transportation naturally will rise gradually, "explained the Director General of Civil Aviation.
At the moment at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, explained the Director General of Civil Aviation, aircraft movements have also increased quite significantly.
"Based on yesterday's data, there are around 280 aircraft movements per day. We know at the beginning when Lebaran is under 100 movements per day. So, the increase has been 250% to 300% for Soekarno-Hatta, "explained the Director General of Civil Aviation.

Meanwhile, President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II Muhammad Awaluddin said the priority for the company was to maintain the consistency of all stakeholders in Soekarno-Hatta in supporting the application of procedures.
"Our priority is to maintain consistency in the application of procedures. This is very important, because regulations move dynamically according to existing developments. Then, our second priority is how to make a traveler feel comfortable flying, how they go through the process comfortably. "
"Earlier, in a joint meeting with the Minister of Transportation and the Director General of Civil Aviation, it was also decided that the use of technology must be carried out as a solution related to the still limited capacity of the flight slot. Through digital technology, the movement of passengers in the terminal can be smoother and faster so that flight slots can be increased, "explained Muhammad Awaluddin.
As for now PT Angkasa Pura II has trialled the Travelation application in all managed airports. Travelation is a digital checking application on the documents required for a traveler to be able to make a flight.
The required documents are identification, flight tickets, and a valid rapid test / PCR test.
The Minister of Transportation strongly supports and appreciates the rapid test / PCR test letter can be fully digitally checked through the Travelation application. This can be done, considering that currently various institutions providing rapid test / PCR test facilities have also been recognized and registered with the Ministry of Health. Head of the Port Health Office of the Ministry of Health of Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Doctor Anas Ma'ruf, added that digital checking of the results of the rapid test / PCR test can indeed be carried out with a number of requirements.
Muhammad Awaluddin stressed that the discipline of all stakeholders in carrying out procedures and rules must be maintained so that the market responds well to creating a balance in supply and demand again.
