President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) Muhammad Awaluddin said the main purpose of this service is to help aircraft passengers to always prioritize health aspects.
"In principle, we want that personal protective equipment such as masks, hand sanitizers, face shields, and antiseptic mouthwashes can be easily obtained at PT Angkasa Pura II airports."
The first service being prepared is a vending machine to market PPE such as masks, face shields, mouth antiseptics and gloves.
Then, the second service is a digital wayfinding (digital map machine at the passenger terminal) which functions as an e-commerce medium for ordering PPE and medicine.
"As many as 21 digital wayfinding will be enhanced from the current function, showing areas in the terminal can also be used for ordering PPE or medicine, and then delivered to the customer. At present the talks are still ongoing with health / pharmaceutical facility providers to jointly provide this service, "explained Muhammad Awaluddin.
Meanwhile the third service is a health center which is a place for prospective passengers to conduct rapid tests or PCR tests, as well as medical check-up services and provide health / pharmaceutical / PPE products.
"The health center is the result of the collaboration of PT Angkasa Pura II, the airline and the Ministry of Health's Port Health Office to reduce the risk of COVID-19 spread through tests conducted on aircraft passengers," explained Muhammad Awaluddin.
These three services will be launched in the near future at Soekarno-Hatta, then followed at other airports.
Retail and F&B tenants reopened services
Meanwhile in Soekarno-Hatta and other company airports, retail and F&B tenants have begun to re-open services.
Commercial tenants must comply with the provisions, including periodic spraying of disinfectants in the tenant area, the obligation to use masks for tenant employees, and monitor the health of tenant employees
For airport visitors and airplane passengers, it is a good idea to pay attention to the following tips when shopping for food and drinks or other products in the commercial area of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport:
1. Prioritizing aspects of cleanliness and health
Airplane passengers or airport visitors must wear a mask when in one of the tenants, and use a hand sanitizer after touching items.
2. Cashless transactions
Prioritize cashless transactions using a digital wallet, electronic money, debit card, or credit card.
3. Pay attention to flight hours
Passenger planes must take into account whether they still have enough time to shop. At present the cleanliness and health aspects are prioritized, so it may take more time to process everything in commercial tenants, for example, in the case of payments made in cashless terms, and then Lalang in the tenants is also not free as in normal circumstances.
4. Choose take away when ordering food in the restaurant
Airplane passengers should order food and drinks to bring, or not eat on the spot. The food brought can be enjoyed in the chairs available in the boarding lounge or other areas, where there are already physical signs on the line of chairs.
5. Physical distancing
Passengers and tenant employees must pay attention to physical distancing. When you want to enter the tenant area, you must take turns or not in groups. Likewise, the queue during the transaction process must implement physical distancing at least 2 meters apart.
In restaurants, dining tables are arranged in a way that prioritizes the concept of physical distancing.
6. Do not immediately use goods that have just been purchased
At airports, airplane passengers often buy goods to support flights such as charger cables, power banks, bags, and travel pillows. Before being used immediately these items should first be cleaned using a disinfectant liquid, or if it is not possible then it should be cleaned first in the destination city (destination) before use.
7. Make sure the goods / food and drinks you want to buy before arriving at the airport
To save time and shop quickly so that you can maintain physical distancing, try before arriving at the airport to find out what goods / food you want to buy at the passenger terminal.
